My daughter has this really big stuffed dog that she loves. She will drag it around, climb on it, etc.
That thing is getting really dirty! The label on it says surface washable only, but I don't think that will be enough. Should I try washing it in the washing machine? It is floppy enough to fit in there, but I'm not sure if I should. How would I dry it after? Would it be okay in the dryer?

I would put it in the machine on a gentle wash and then let it dry near a radiator x

Does it have more than one color on it? That'd be the thing that may get messed up in the wash. I've had to wash a few stuffed animals that I couldn't get spot cleaned well enough, and it definitely made them look worse:( My son's favorite daisy duck got hot chocolate spilled on it once, and after washing it the white of her fur turned a dull gray color from other colors on her kind of mixing onto the white in the wash. So be cautious.

it's light brown and dark brown, so it shouldn't be too bad, I guess.
I'm still hesitant to try, but I don't think I'll have much of a choice. That thing is getting gross.

I've washed several of my LO's smaller stuffed animals often... and I dry them too (long as there is nothing on them that could melt)- And they have all come out just fine...

I've never been THIS careful- but good info here on it ;) lol

I don't think I'll ever get over the image if the care bear hanging from its ear :(

I wash lo's stuffed toys in the washing machine on the "handwash" cycle. A gentle or delicate 30 degree wash should be the same. I put them inside a pillowcase in the wash and I dry them on the radiator. They've always been fine.

I've always just machine washed and left to dry on washing line or radiator, they've been fine.
