Wow, that was absolutely beautiful! I would love to smile the whole way through

 ... thats what it must be like for a stepford wife to give birth

do episiotomy's hurt loads?? :S
It's put me off giving birth seeing it :(

xxx

i had one with my first, tbh i never really noticed coz your mind and pain is elsewhere iykwim - just think it was horrid to watch x

I've never watched one that close up before, my god no wonder I was ripped to shreds

 Never thought I'd say this but..... thank god I had a c-section

That was horrible i had an episiotomy but i didnt realise it was like that , how can she smile

I am INSISTING that my doctors not do an episiotomy. like I will switch drs if it is their "procedure". my opinion is I would rather tear than have a cut that i might not need. at the hospital where i'm delivering, it used to be a standard thing- they just did it for everyone. I am particular about that and forceps. i will have neither unless something is severly wrong and the baby needs to come out now. :(

ugh that video scared me.

sorry for nosing in... but OMG! I did not realise an episiotomy was done with scissors! :O ... maybe i'll put off TTC for a while! haha

H&H pregancies to everyone
xxx

Oh jesus, that looks bloody scary! I hope I don't have to have an episiotomy!
How will I sleep now? Aha.

My midwife came over to do my birth plan last week and told me that in the 6 and a half years she'd been delivery babies she'd had to do 3 episiotomies. Not sure whether that means they just 'let' you tear unless its an emergency or whether theres really not much need for it as a procedure, but I was vaguely reassured lol x

thats not even a bad vid, if your brave enough, type espisiomomy in youtube. its greusome! lol

just an idea maybe attach a warning to the title?
Lol i no if id seen that b4 labour id of freaked...smiling lady or not.
I screamed at my doc when he asked the MW for the equiptment for one and told him
"no no no no NO! PLEASE!"
lol
i found new strength and tommy was out in the nxt cuple pushes and i got away wth a minor tear *phew* xxxxx

Ive heard that tearing can be a lot more painful, and dangerous in the long run rather then just letting them cut you. Maybe not like dangerous, just have a longer healing period and it will hurt a lot more.

OUCH , is all i have to say , I had my daughter i never had any Tears or Stiches and i was NOT smiling thats for sure . That woman is Insaine , But awesome for being a trooper
