Hi ladies,

Im am exclusively breastfeeding and have now started weaning my LO. I know that if you are breastfeeding then it is not necessary to give water but do I give water to her now that she is being weaned.

Hi hun, she doesnt really need water at this stage if she's getting enough BM, you can offer her few sips with her solids to get used to it's taste. She only needs some water when you start introducing animal protien. xx

I do, as my LO's poo was getting very hard, it looked like rabbit poo.

I always offered water with food once she'd started having solids, because I was worried about constipation ^^

as shes eating you could offer it with food, but its not amazingly important if she doesnt have very much, its just just about getting her used to having it with a meal and getting used to the taste
