Watery CM or post sex wetness?

Hi Girls,

Me and DH had sex this morning and on just checking my CM I am very wet inside, but it's not 'semen like' it's more watery. Like I've dipped my finger into a glass of water!

Is this watery cm, or just left over wetness from this morning? I'm not sure what to record on my ff chart.

It might be residual arousal fluid which can also be a lot like fertile CM. Personally I recorded it as watery though, rather have too many fertile days highlighted and not miss one which is what FF recommends.

I would give it at least 12 hours post sex to check CM to avoid this confusion. This may sound gross but the only way I can tell the difference between watery CM and residual joy-juice is...the...*whispers* smell.

Sooz, I think I will chart it as watery cm just incase. I had a pos ov test yesterday so it may well be.

MrsPOP, yeah I would normally wait but I got abit too curious I definately think you're right in waiting for 12 hours at least. I've not thought to smell it yet - I'll see how desperate I get

Well I pee'd in a tub before to take an opk and I noticed that there was some 'stuff' in there and it sunk - so it's looking good

Ive had this - but mine seemed to guss out !! Very watery CM about 2 hrs after we had sex. Its literally gussed out in 2 gusses went through my knickers and jeans good job I was at home.

Is this good or bad ??

I get that wetness after sex too. I was wondering the same thing. Clears that up lol.

I have to ask about the smell question. Which one will have a smell? I've never smelled either arousal fluid or cm so I dont' know.

Also if CM sticks to my fingers...like it doesn't want to come off into the cup of water....does that make it more likely to be EWCM or semen?

I am very curious about the smell as well...I don't think I have the egg white stuff, I seem to be all water..

Semen has a distinct smell, to me anyway. I dont know but Ive always been able to tell the difference. Its not a bad smell or anything!
