Hey... I posted nine weeks ago that we were planning our wedding in a bit of a rush... well, the big day was yesterday, combined with our son's baptism, and it was all great and I am now a married lady!

It all went beautifully... have a FEW pics. I didn't take a single picture myself, kinda wish I had, we'll get proper pics from the photographer in due course... in the meantime, I have snagged a few from facebook, from my mother in law (!!!!!) and new sisters in law...

Adam was SO GOOD. he was just great. being passed round like a parcel can't be a lot of fun but he put on a brilliant show. it was so lovely to see my friends and family, but I felt a little thinly spread - like there wasn't enough of me (and enough time) to go round. also, tiring being ON all day. but fun as well. I enjoyed it a lot :D

dress was great (Amanda Wyatt from 2 years ago, got for £200 from eBay), bra kept me firmly in place (I was scared of popping out as I lost a bit of weight in the run-up). wrap was cosy and pretty. hair was shiny and nice... rosacea flared a bit but make-up toned it down to ok levels... flowers turned out fine even though we bought them from Marks & Spencer the day before and arranged them ourselves... bridesmaids were wonderful, kids were all very good (though my 2.5 yr old niece freaked out when it came to walk down the aisle and had to be carried by my sil) and our taxi didn't turn up to collect us after the ceremony (but neither did the taxi coming for one of our best family friends and her husband and so we shared one and it was actually lovely to spend a bit of time with them). food was nice I think but I hardly had any of it... speeches went well (OH was very very nervous managed to cobble something together, my dad's was very touching)... and it all went so so so quickly. everyone who was expected turned up. everyone said they had a great time. everyone LOVED the vicar... it was perfect.

so...

Congrats hunni, the picks are beautiful!! Hehe I am having the same colour theme as you!! :happydance:

Congratulations, lovely pics. I am also having a rushed wedding on Saturday (planned in 5 weeks!) and getting my daughter christened at the same time.

thanks everyone. I keep looking at the pics and wondering when we'll get the official ones! it really was such a memorable day, up there with the day Adam was born as one of the best ever. :D and it was totally the right thing to have Adam baptised as well - and it didn't feel like that was an afterthought sort of thing, overshadowed by the wedding. it was clear Adam was the star attraction! he looked so cute in his little suit he wore after the ceremony (complete bargain, think it cost £22 or something like that).

and now we are actually having a bit of a honeymoon as well, we didn't plan this either but we've found a cottage in Devon and are going tomorrow for 4 nights. all of us. figured it'd be best to go self-catering with a 7 month old. so excited, we've never been away just us before. it's always been to see family but this is totally just us. :)

Congrats looks like use had a lovely day!! Ure wee one is gorgeous :hugs:
