Ok so I'm nursing my 4th baby. All of my others I weaned purposefully at 6 months. I decided this time I'd keep nursing this one until a year or whenever she went to cows milk. Well she hasn't been wanting any other food until just this past weekend. I have her eating just a few bites for breakfast and dinner. But since then she is not too interested in nursing. She was nursing about 5-6 times a day for about 15 minutes or so each time. Now I am basically making her nurse every 4 hours but she'll only nurse about 5 minutes total both sides max. Is she starting to wean herself? Should I be concerned about fluids? She won't drink from a sippy. I could give her pumped milk but I don't ha e much because I've not really been pumping this time around. I just hate the idea of switching her to formula now but I'm concerned she isn't getting enough nutrition. Any thought?

might she be teething, or coming down with a cold? This always put my LO off nursing and food for a while. I just offered little and often with the breast and if she didn't want solid food she didn't have to have any. It is definately more important she has milk than food right now, so you could try stopping the solids to see if they have been confusing her in to thinking she's full when she's not...but it seems unlikely on a few spoonfuls. Have you considered offering finger food only not spoon feeding. She might not get much swallowed for a week or so but it may peak her appetite more.
