A couple of weeks before my son turned 1 we decided to try him with cow's milk. He has had in his food since he was six months and we haven't had a problem.

We mixed his formula and cows milk upon our h.v suggestion and to start with he was fine. We dropped an oz of formula and increased cows milk every 4 days, when it got to 2oz of formula to 6oz of cows milk he began to get stomach cramps and a lot of gas he would thrash around and seem like he was in a lot of pain. Then he started throwing up his entire feeds and his dinner at bedtime. The vomitting was intermittent but was every day at least and smelt horrible.

We weren't sure if it was a stomach bug as he had just started nursery or if it was teething related. So stopped the cow's milk and just stuck with formula. A month has passed and after speaking to h.v today she said to try again with cow's milk to see. He eats yoghurts and cheese fine with no problems.

Anyways to cut a long story short he had cows milk twice today and he threw up at 8ish his whole feed and dinner :(

Not sure what we need to do, obv we have to stick with formula he is currently on stage 3 the 6-12 months on, am reluctant to put him on the 1-2 years stuff as it has vanilla in and smells like a milkshake, any ideas?
