Weaning off purées

My baby has never been a fan of purées so I went down the finger food route, and would top her up with purées when needed.

She will only have 5 different varieties that I rotate and only stage 1 style, she won't have any lumps. But will have a go at anything when it's finger food?

Should I just go cold turkey and stop the purees?

Yep, I would just make the switch. If she doesn't eat as much right away, you may find her milk intake increases a bit for a short time until she is eating more volume, but just carry on feeding on demand and it will all even out soon enough.

Yup I had to stop purees too. Don't bin them though, my LO is now learning to spoonfed herself so every so often I pull some fruit puree out of the freezer for her!

Thanks guys! I've stopped since Thursday and the hasn't been any difference!

Great idea to keep them for self feeding!
