My daughters 1 year is on Thursday next week (31st). Question is can I go ahead and wean her off breastfeeding and start giving her cow milk for some of the feedings? It hurts so bad to feed her just in the past 2 weeks and it's getting worse.
Right now we wake up about 7 and she eats oatmeal
I bf her before her morning nap about 10
We eat lunch at 12
I bf her before afternoon nap about 3/4
Then we eat dinner about 530/6
And I bf before bed at 7/730

I would like to sub the before am nap with milk then in a few days sub pm nap with milk and the second week of August sub before bed feeding with milk
Does this sound like a good schedule or should I wait until her actual birthday to start this?
Thanks for reading all this.

You've probably already started your weaning by now! But I did similar with my dd1. By a year I was only doing night feeds and she would have cows milk and water through the day. By 15 months I was pg again and just had to sleep in the spare room for about a week and my DH slept beside my dd in the night and comforted her when she woke up- by night 3 she was sleeping through which she had never done before. She was ready to stop bf, i, on the other hand, was an emotional wreck with stopping!
