sorry if this has already been asked  but i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the above!
we're on just over 8month countdown till we leave for florida, and our big day out there! and i'm not stressing that i want to drop quite a bit of weight before the wedding, and since my dress is due in this month :yipee: i'm worrying what will happen if i loss more weight between now and the wedding!

i'm pretty sure my dress has (def) room to lose in it, and it's lace up back, so i assume i can pull it in quite a bit, but will my alterations account for weight loss?

hope this make sense  i've been worrying all sodding weekend :dohh:

I'm not really sure. Could you ask them when you go for a fitting? Are they doing the fittings at the dress shop? A dress maker is doing my fittings for me and she asked how much weight I was expecting to loose.

I had a dress alteration 5 weeks before my wedding and skipped a final alteration the day before (in case you lose or gain weight). I had to be sewed into my wedding dress an hour before my wedding because it was to loose. I had only lost 10 lbs at the very most so I though for sure it would we fine (empire waist) but I was falling out of the thing. It's a good thing I had breast cups built in because my bust must have went down a size too. So my suggestion to you is if you plan on losing any weight before the wedding go in for an alteration close to before you leave for Florida just to be safe.

It will be fine hun, they are used to brides loosing weight, and more than they intend to on some occasions, all the time so they will be prepared for it.

I would just have a word with them when you next see them and they will put your mind at rest.

I have a different worry about sizing so you have my sympathy but I know you will look lovely :cloud9:

I lost three stone between ordering my dress and the wedding and mine was altered fine :)

thank you all so much for your advice!
Melanie - yep it's the shop doing on the fittings. i think your all right about speaking to them, and they must take it into account! the dress needs quite few alterations anyway, as i'm having the zip taken out and a lace up put in, so i suppose they can alter it then. i think i shall phone them today, ask about when it will be back (she said this month :yipee:) and that way i can make an app. i have to pick my veil anyway :yipee:
lucky - yep they said fittings as close to florida as possible, and pick it up the week before we fly  thank you again guys!
and pops - your'll be fine sweetie :hugs: xxx
