Wedding Gifts?

What are you all asking for as your wedding gifts? Money, vouchers, or have you created a gift registry with a shop?

Im unsure as to what to do, im probably going to just create a registry with a department store like House Of Fraser, then people can pick or choose, or just get us gift vouchers for there

They do everything so think we're gonna go with them lol

we went for john lewis and have chosen gifts of all price ranges although it is only really a guide for people who want to buy us something

We're going to set up some kind of honeymoon fund. We don't really want/need anything for around the house tbh, and we'd rather just save for those things ourselves when we do want them.

We've got a small gift list with John lewis but we've also asked for donations in our name to Bisee Books a charity that was set up in memory of the girls who died in the Equador bus crash. Emily was a close family friend

I was thinking this same thing. As I don't know what we need around the house. We should go with gift vouchers. That's a great idea.

We've not officially asked for anything, however when asked we request money to help us afford the deposit to move to a more child friendly property, preferably a house. We're also asking for random little things, like a teapot off our friend who we're paying to do the photography. We know we're getting a honeymoon off OH's immediate family and half the cost of the dress material and the labour for my dress and flowergirl's dress from OH's aunty. We're just kinda giving information when asked really as we'd hate to have given a general request for money, even though the wedding presents are traditionally to help the couple set at home and we're asking for money to get a family home!

We asked people to contribute toward our honeymoon. It meant we could have the holiday of our dreams. Everyone thought it was a great idea.

We are going to do it through Thomas Cook so we can have a lovely honeymoon, i would have gone with JOhn Lewis but tbh we have lived together for 2 1/2 years and have all the household things we need!!

We are just asking people for money as there is nothing we need in the house as we have lived together for over 5 years! We do however need money to spend on our breakaway in the lakes for our honeymoon so that will help and then we can put the rest in savings or get a new car or something xxx
