Weight gain in pregnancy

I'm at 33 lbs so far. Not bad when you consider I'm having twins. I gained 25 lbs with my daughter and had to fight to get it off (breastfeeding round the clock didn't remove any of it) so I'm a bit concerned where this is going to go.

you are ALL baby. seriously. and with TWINS! at least 15 of that is gonna be babies. AND you are on bed rest. i work full time and run around. can you imagine if I was on bed rest? i can only imagine the weight gain i would have then.

I have to say that none of you seemed to have gained LOADS. This pregnancy I have only put on 2 1/2 stone, with DS by 27weeks I had put on 5st and only got bigger and heavier due to a combination of steroids (at 30wks) and odeama (water retention). Remember not only do you have a baby in there you have amniotic fluid and extra blood flowing around your body, you also put on extra layers of fat to provide enough energy for you body to produce milk. Once you have had baby you'll be suprised at how much weight that takes off you, plus if you plan on BFing this will help burn off excess fat/calories and shrink your uterus quicker

I've put on about 14lbs but have still got a long way to go so anything could happen in the next 7 weeks!!

I had my apointment last thursday... i got on the scales to check to see how much i weight and I have put on 11lbs since Ive been pregnant. Pretty happy about that. Hope I don't gain much more as I'm over weight anywya!

i am still down 10 lbs from pre pregnancy... which i am bigger anyway to start.. i gained a total of 8 lbs when i was pregnant with the twins (lost 19 in the first trimester tho) and so i think it all just depends.. there isnt a right or wrong...

lol im the same! ive gone from just under 8 stone to over 9 but i dont look any diff.. its very odd lol xx

I went from 9 stone 12lbs to 14 stone dead on the day I had baby (had really watched what went in my mouth if I'm honest so it wasn't that much from diet). I lost over 2 stone instantly and now only have 1 stone to go.

Mine was largely water to be honest so don't worry.

33 weeks... I've gained 19lbs but my weight's been fluctuating through the pregnancy. I'll lose a lb, I'll gain a lb, I'll lose a lb... it's weird because I've been eating like an empty pit!

i have gained about 3 n a half stone. havent stopped eating. hope i can lose it all wen ive had baby x

i have put on just over 3 stone.. im not happy, it took me 12 years to lose the weight from when i had my son, i was slim for 7 months before i put it all back...

people say "oh but your pregnant" but i can see the extra fat on my body, its not all bump which is why i get really down, some girls just have a bump and thats all !!

It looks like 3 stone weight gain is common so feel a little better now...

Seriously don't worry, a lot comes off quickly and I'm no longer breastfeeding. I gained all over and it's going slowly but surely.

I am 38 weeks and have put on just over 1.3 stones but still worried about last two weeks. Also, worried about loosing it because I have heard if you put on less and slowly then you have to work really hard to get rid of that weight.

lol ive been like this for weeks & weeks & finally stepped on the scales this morning!!!!!!!!!

ive put on almost 2 stones..so i was pleasantly surprised actually....hopefully with none weeks to go I will stay under the three stone threshold..we'll see!!!!!!!!xx
