So I've heard a few things regarding this at the end of pregnancies when weight slows down or you even lose a few pounds, it could mean labor will start soon.

Does anyone know if there is any truth to that or is it a bunch of baloney?

Reason is, I've been a major cow this past week  but I lost 2 pounds (which I ain't complainin' about!). I am 36 weeks tomorrow.

With DD, I remember this happening, but I *think* I was closer to 38/39 weeks when my weight slowed down.

Anyone have experience with this?

I'm not exactly at the end of my run with this pregnancy, but between 29 weeks and now (33) I've lost a pound (but the baby gained 2!) and my fundal height hasn't increased more than 1 cm. The doc says that it's because my baby dropped so fundal height is no longer a very good estimate... as for the weight loss she said 'It's just one of those things'... which to translate 'doctor' speak, means she doesn't know why.

I'm not destined to have this baby any time naturally then, my weight has increased loads this past week and I'm 39+1 haha!x

Last week I had lost 3 pounds and this week at my doc appt I lost another 3 pounds! I was concerned, they weren't too concerned just said to make sure I am eating enough throughout the day. :/ She said it could mean labor coming soon, but I don't know?!

I am 36+4 and at my doctor's appointment on Tuesday, I had lost three pounds. The doctor didn't seem concerned.
