Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hey Ladies! :hi:

So I just got to the office after my CD10 scan. My ovaries are definitely doing something.. I have a total of 30 follicles! OMG! :wohoo: It went from 11 to 30 in 2 days. Yikes! There are tons around the 7-10mm range. It is odd that I have 20 follicles on the left and 10 on the right. My right ovary did have a giant cyst on it years ago, and it had to be operated on. I wonder if that is why my right isn't doing as well?

I also got my CD3 bloodwork back. My AMH has dropped to 3.87 from over 5 in May. My FSH and LH were both 5 and my e2 was 42. He said I have great numbers, and explained that the lower AMH is actually a better number than the one in May, but I don't have issues with ovarian reserve. YAY! :yahoo:

So now we wait for the afternoon call to let me know what my bloodwork showed, and what my injection regimen will be until I see them tomorrow. Dr. Denker mentioned that I'll be a regular in their office for the next few days.:wacko:

Oh, and on a side note, I don't have HIV or Hepatitis or Chlamidia, and I am not a Cystic Fibrosis carrier either. The only test left outstanding is the PAP I had done yesterday.

I am on a high right now.. things look like they are coming together nicely

How are you all doing today?

That's fantastic, Ali!!

Forgot to mention that my lining is now 10mm and it is a triple lining, YAY! :wohoo: The triple is what you want to hear, means that it is inviting to the embryos for implantation.

OMG.. I hope this is it! It has to be, as I don't have enough $$ to do it again

Lol, Ali!!! You got it right- if you are all out of money then emphatically YES. THSI IS YOUR MONTH :haha: Baby's don't show up until your broke, lol! And I was right! You are producing follicles (or did I say something like egg masses? same same...) bet that's why the bloat and pain  Way to go girl, you're operating like magic :hugs: And wow, a triple lining on top of it all! Great set-up, can't wait to hear your :bfp: news!

Babywhisperer- depositions, huh? Wonder what your dh deo to prepare. Itd epends on if he is conducting (officiating) or hanging out while a client is being deposed  I am guessing conducting since he has to prepare. My dh is being deposed (even though he is largely uninvolved he was a witness) today. My day is tomorrow and I am sure they are going to hammer me. Hammer away! :haha: I am def up for it :bodyb:

I agree with Ali on your dpo days...Are you still planning to test tomorrow or next day? Oh and from all the research I have done (extensive, believe me :haha:) there is very RARELY ever an indiciation of implantation. Only a small percentage of women notice IB, etc. I never noticed a thing with my pregnancies  Just a "knowing: iykwim??

Jess- how's the mood today? Got a killer attitude and ready to work your buns off no doubt! I love your energy! I agree with Ali (I say that alot :haha:) you should def have a date with some chocolate ice cream today......(:shhh: you deserve it)

AFM-

Woke up early, got breakfast out early, kids and dh and dog fed....threatened my children numerous times to do their chores, stop fighting and pick up their toys :growlmad: lol! Then I put a load of towels in to wash. I decided to color my hair today, so didn't put any foundation make-up on. My 3 year old (Kat) was putting a bite of egg in her mouth and literally froze mid-action. She stared at me then said slowly "Your FACE is all red..." :haha: Hey! :growlmad: You try being fairskinnned Irish girl with 50% more blood pumping!

HEHE :haha: so you wear makeup all the time? I hardly ever wear makeup. I find it so difficult to put on and not look like a clown. So we can color our hair later in our pregnancy? That is good news, my temples will need to have a touchup here soon, maybe I should do it this weekend before the egg retrieval. I had no idea that we will get all red, yikes! Too funny that your DD noticed too, silly girl.

He is preparing his own client for depositions and preparing for deposing opposing witnesses. He is representing 3 contractors that are being sued by someone who brought their own equipment to a job site and fell off their own ladder...it's a total scam. The only people who win are the lawyers in the end. Has your hubs been prepped?

I am not testing until AF day which is the 12th. I figure this weekend will fly by and if AF is coming I will get the symptoms I am used to. I guess I don't want to test since last month I had every symptom, even nausea, 8days of cramping, and dark brown spotting which I never have had and AF showed up 4 weeks to the day of my last AF. I was crushed and so was hubs b/c we thought I was prego. Feels kind of silly to test when the only "symptom" I have is veiny larger bbs which could all be from water retention. And the veins are only pronounced at night.

Ali- well, my mom was terrible--She used to laugh sarcastically if I wanted to wear a dress (I was only 5-6 years old) made fun of me if I tried to be pretty, etc...So I never wore make-up or fitted clothes or anything even remotely "woman-ish" lol...Until I moved away and dh and I got married. Then I realized "hey- I can try this stuff" So gone is my red complexion :haha: I usually wear a very ligth foundation to just even my skin out as I get a very red nose in winter :xmas22: and when I am pregnant the blood rush makes my afce red  Anyways....now I wear foundation and eye make-up, basically and only for dh and myself. Ohhh and I discovered the wonder of tweezing my brows too :haha: And it's amazing what a nice pair of fitted jeans can do for a woman's figure  But today was the first day I didn't "powder my nose" so to speak- and Kat picked right up on it :growlmad: lol!

Babywhisperer- symptoms and signs can be very tricky. You can have them all and no bfp- or get none of them a a :bfp:..So yeah, test when you feel ready! Your bnb buddies are always here to rant, cheer, and encourage :hugs:

It is not like I haven't tried to wear makeup! I almost wish I could. My complexion is terrible, blotchy and oily. I break out all the time too. That is the part that sucks. If I put foundation on, it seems to suck into my skin and disappear in a matter of minutes, and all i'm left with is oily nasty skin and more breakouts from the foundation. So I just gave up. I do wear it on special occasions, but even then it usually just makes me look worse than I normally would. :growlmad: I do like wearing clothes that make you look good :) That is something I love doing. It is amazing how a nice pair of jeans or a neat top can make you feel all that more feminine, and put a bounce in your step.

Babywhisperer.. I concur with Coy, don't get discouraged until AF arrives. Some women have sworn up and down that AF was about to appear, and got their :bfp: you just have to be patient and see what happens! Easier said then done, I know

Ali- believe me I understand the woes of makeup wearing! I try to keep it very simple. Here is a link to one of the foundations i have tried and liked

https://www.epinions.com/reviews/Dream_Matte_Mousse_Foundation/sec_~opinion_list/pp_~3?sb=1

Then I might put something like this over the top- to help absorb oil, etc

https://www.drugstore.com/maybelline-mineral-power-powder-foundation-classic-ivory-light-2/qxp192959

I have tried the liquids--stear clear of those, they are evil! :haha: There is another one that I am currently using that works awesome and goes on somewhat transparent just for an even look and doesn't break you out, I will post alink to it here as well:

https://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod2330019

This is the one I use as it comes with a sponge applicator and takes all of about 45 seconds to apply and looks great. Skip blush if you are ruddy though as your nat. pink will show through some as it is. Then I just put mascara, etc...Makes me feel nicer anyway

I start with my eyelids then my cheeks (stupid red cheeks :growlmad:) and my NOSE . lol

It is funny because I'll ask dh "how do I look?" and he always makes the comment that I look good but never look like I am wearing any makeup...HAHA! If he only knew....

THANKS! I'll have to look at those options. I really do hate wearing it. I feel like its clogging my pores and I can't breathe. Maybe that Ulta one? Which one feels like you aren't wearing anything. That is what I need, invisible makeup

MEN, right? Yesterday the girls were playing in the tub with tons of bubbles and all their crazy toys and dh took advantage of their being distracted and got all romantic and cuddly :cloud9: telling me how much he loved me etc, there I was in la la land enjoying it when all of a sudden I tune in again and he says something about bleeding it out...WTF? I sit up and look at him puzzled. "Bleed it out? Bleed what out?" He blinks at me. "The clutch" he reiterates slowly...

Ah. Yes. The clutch. Once again- MEN.

Def the ulta one..the last link. Once I discovered that one I haven't purchased any of the others. I have the same issue- if it feels like I have something on my skin I get clautrophobic and wash it off! :haha: This one feels awesome, I forget I am wearing it. And a baby wipe takes it off in seconds

Nothing ever comes easy for me, I have to dig, fight, scratch and claw for everything...just expecting this to follow suit I guess. I guess it will make me appreciate it more when it does happen :winkwink:

Babywhisperer-

Just so you know - we are all crazy on here :shhh: lol! Baby crazy, chart crazy, symptom crazy, poas crazy.... LOL!

Ali- yes my doc said it is safe to color during pregnancy, just best not in the first trimester. I never had trouble around the temples, just always those stupid grey hairs on top of my head :growlmad: Like 3 of them! Just enough to be prominant. Anyways I found a brand that has aloe and no ammonia...and great thing is it only takes 10 minutes so cuts my contact down to half the time or less!

Here is the color I am going to try this time

https://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/pr...l+Natural+Instincts++-++28+Nutmeg+(Dark+Brown)

Hope it's not too dark but I used to be flame red  so I like to play with it :)
