Morning all, again, nothing much to report, temp shot up quite a bit today, but we're in a Travelodge and the bed is really uncomfortable, so I didn't get a very good night sleep.

Ian is diving again, so we decided to stay overnight, rather than driving 3 hours home last night, then back up again today. I decided not to dive, seeing I don't know whether or not I'm pregnant, although I'm really not feeling it yet, but I'm only 8 dpo. I have my blood test tomorrow morning, I'll try to ask is they know what its being tested for.

Coy, I can't wait to get home and see the pic you posted, the connection here is a bit rubbish.

Terri- wow, 8 dpo and an awesome spike in temp! Got my fx'd for you this month!! are you going to test this month or ride it out? I have no patience I'd have to test lol!!

Morning Coy (for me anyway!),

I'll be planning to leave testing until about 12 dpo. I'll definitely test before the ultrasound on the 27th as FF shows that as their recommended test date and I'll need to make them aware.

I'm also a poas addict, so it'll be hard refraining. I was thinking about testing a couple of days ago after those dreams, but I managed to stop myself from opening the packaging.

I really don't feel that confident though to be honest.

Fingers crossed for Aeryn's arrival today.

Firstly, how are you feeling?? Any movement? I understand about not wanting to force labor and to keep the drugs to a minimum. You sad one of your dd's was late, when did she finally come?

Afm, went to a concert in the city with friends and had fun. My chart says I ovu on cd11, but I got the darkest test line on my opk that day...could I have really ovu the same day as a + opk? If so it doesn't look like I got enough bd in I know my temps have been crazy b/c I haven't been doing it at the same time. Could FF be wrong and I ovu cd12 or 13?

For the last two months, my left breast and nipple have been quite sore. It almost feels like I am breast feeding and need a baby to latch on iykwim. I also been having sharp pains in that breast and nipple. Because I felt that way, I decided to um try to express to see if here was anything in there. I got some clear fluid coming out. Also, that breast near the nipple has been very itchy.
I am 40, and at my last yearly exam, my PA did a breast exam (if you could call it that. My cat would have done a more thorough job ) and said, "Oh, it's a bit lumpy and bumpy, but nothing to worry about." But she wanted me to go ahead and get a mamogram some time with in the year. I applied for 'Every Woman Matters' here in Nebraska to get one since my health insurance won't cover one. I was going to just wait until next year, but now I'm thinking I should get in as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the certificate from EWM runs out at the end of this month, so I will need to reapply if my appointment is past the 31st and I don't know how long it will take to get another one.
Am I borrowing trouble, or do you all think this is something that should be checked out right away?

I'd get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry, plus if you can get it done for free, then it isn't costing you anything. Shame on your insurance for not covering it. That is terrible! I thought all insurance (by law) had to cover preventative medicine including a mammogram starting at 40! I had one at 35 as a baseline for 2 reasons, 1) my Mom had breast cancer at the time (I was adopted so I don't have her genes) but she was freaking out and wanted me to get tested, and 2) I have very lumpy/dense breasts. It was normal at 35. I went to have my yearly a few months ago, and my OBGYN saw I was turning 40, and said time for a mammogram. It is just better to get it done and know things look good. Or if they aren't, and there is something worrisome in there, then the sooner you get it taken care of the better your prognosis. My Mom's was 11mm and it hadn't spread and she only had to have radiation, and no chemo. Plus the lumpectomy. That was 5 years ago, and she is still cancer free, YAY!

Did you test with your OPKs beyond CD12? I ask because it is not normal to get EWCM after you ovulate for that many days. So maybe you are one of those women that have 2 surges and maybe if you'd done an OPK on CD13 it would have been positive again? IDK. Your OPKs, and temps seem to match and say you ovulated on CD11 but your EWCM seems to make me think you ovulated later. Very perplexing. If there is one thing I have learned from FF, and trying to pinpoint ovulation, is that it is maddening at best, and it usually isn't until a few days later that we get the true picture.
The only thing I can say is 1) you know you typically ovluate between CD10-13, so BD starting around CD9 and do it every other day for a week. That way you know for certain you have hit your window!! 2) I'd go in and have your blood taken and have them do a full hormone workup, including AMH. As I said before, they have benchmarks for CD3, and so it is best to get it done on this day or day 2,4 if it falls on a weekend. 3) Your FF doesn't show me when you BD'd so I can't see whether you hit the window, but I'm sure you did, you said you guys were BD'ing a lot this past week! So let's think positively and maybe this is your month!!!

Get a Mammo or an ultrasound. I have very dense breast tissue so they recommend the US for me. Go right away please. Pain and discharge are things to get checked asap. I'd research the web for places in your area that might be of assistance. Good Luck

He talks about it every day and I don't want to keep disappointing him.

How are you feeling? Is your cold 100% gone?? Btw, my brother got a new dog, a rescue! She's a German Short Haired Pointer, a hunting breed and her name is Greta. She is so sweet!!! I want a dog so bad but dh said babies before puppies

Good going on the BD'ing!!! Looks like you have everything covered. Here is to a this month but if it doesn't happen you have a plan, and a plan is a good thing Cool about the doggie, dogs are great company, and I love mine to death! Not sure whether its good to have puppies before babies, or babies then puppies? Maybe both at the same time? I bet you'd have to get a dog walker since you guys are both gone all day. I have a doggie door and the dogs go in/out all day long and love being in the back yard. Zoe has a sun tan on her belly, from lying upside down out there. Silly girl. She is a sun goddess, I actually worry about skin cancer. Is it possible for dogs to get skin cancer?

So I have been majorly procrastinating today. It is 12:30 and I have done absolutely nothing (but let doggies out and feed them). It is time to get a move on! Need to get some work stuff done, laundry done, and get my beef burgundy into the crock pot!

Babywhisperer- re: your chart. Try not to put too much faith in FF to get things exact. It is best to follow your opk tests, your cm, and your bbt...then use FF as a sounding board to help maintain all the info. I still think you bd'd just right And wow- your temp is a full degree or more above cover, that's awesome! Looks fabulous so far You didn't put in there when you bd'd but from what you have mentioned I think you are just fine. In fact for either ov date you are covered. Also- you'd be about 5 dpo today, right?

Now, that being said as you kept getting EWCM past your positive opk I am wondering if you ovulated...Are you taking Mucinex? If so it's ok to stop at this point. Also maybe start testing opk's again to see if you are getting another surge for Ov (sometimes it happens twice, the surge, not the Ov ). Oh yeah- and ! HOWEVER (clearing my throat) judging from your temps I'd say you def ovulated so try not to worry!!!


Ali- beef burgundy sounds awesome! Can I come over? lol! I am making tacos for dinner tonight, the dd's love them for some reason ... Hope you geta restful day at home and not a lot of calls!

TwoToGo- def get it checked out, I had that once but it was just a blocked milk duct. Breasts are funny things to say the least but it is best to find out for sure and take care of anything early if needs be.

Can I just say I am exhausted? Aaargh, so much for plans of a relaxing and restful night! Starters I went to bed when I wanted - which ended up being very late- and no sooner got in bed than Kat wakes up! So I put her back to bed with a stern reprimand (verbal of course). I look at the clock and it is 1:30....I fall asleep. Kat wakes me up. Again! It is 1:50 So I ask wat is wrong and she smiles and says "Nothing, I just want to be your buddy."

Awww....that's sweet....Now get to bed! lol! And we did this 4-5 times last night, darnn it all! Plus I wake up literally every hour to pee *sigh* Between Kat and Aeryn my sleep is yuk....so finally I got up late, made the dd's breakfast, started the fireplace to knock the chill off, let the dog out, cleaned the kitchen, put dd's in the tub, and had a cup of coffee...a small one

My hopes and plans today include maybe one more cup of coffee and a nap!

Here is my body symptoms last night and today--incredible vaginal pressure and every time Aeryn moves (tmi alert!!) I get these big gobs of cm ...So maybe I am dilating more? Anyways a very uncomfortable night in regards to vaginal pressure. Today the same thing- every time she moves I get these copious amounts of cm and more pressure. Maybe she will just pop out and we can skip all thepain and drama

I've never been pregnant before, nor have I given birth so I have no idea what is normal! All I know is that you sound like you need sleep, and I don't know what you are doing with Kat, but she needs to STOP waking you up all night long. Maybe it is time to take things away from her for bad behavior? Or give her positive reinforcement for not waking you up? More than ever you need that sleep, and it is not good that she can keep waking you up like that. I'm sure there are topics on the web about how to deal with this kind of behavior, see what they suggest?

I hope so, but feeling bummed that we missed cd 8 & 9...looks like crucial days if I did indeed ovu on cd11...but the twinges I'm getting on my right side today??? Makes me think I didn't ovu on cd11, but the twinges are mild. I hope I don't have pcos...but my cycles would be longer right?

It is such a gorgeous day here, 63, sunny with a slight breeze...makes me wish we were at some Fall festival or out on the Northfork wine tasting.


We would need a dog walker and it would be really hard for the dog to be kept inside all day. I leave for work at 6:30am, and hubby leaves anywhere from 8-9am. I get home around 6ish where hubby can get home at 6 go for a run then work from, or come home after 9 even 12 some nights. It wouldn't be fair to a dog to be inside all day.

I think Zoe and my dh would make a great pair...he loves the sun and the beach. He gets so moody when Summer ends I swear I am buying him a light box.

I'm wondering how come you ladies can't see when we bd on the chart b/c I did put it in. FF says I am 3dpo. Now as far as my temps, I did sleep in late yesterday (9:40) and today I took it at 7:50, whereas during the week I take it around 5:30-6am. I was so bad this morning, I temped, then got up for a little bit, but then crawled back into bed until 11:30!!!!! I mean, we got home at 2am but I went right to sleep. I have had no problem going back to sleep these past 2 mornings...I am usually up around 8 on the weekends if I can sleep past my normal week day time...and to be honest, I could take a nap right now. It's been a stressful couple of weeks so maybe that's it.

Have you ever had the globs of cm like that before in either of your pregnancies? As for the sleep you got...I wish you had help nearby so someone could take the girls for a few hours so you could nap. Do they ever have play dates? If you lived in NY I'd help you out for sure!

Dh just left for the office for a little bit...a partner in his dept asked him to do something. I don't know this guy, but I am not a fan. He always drops stuff in dh's lap last minute and usually on the weekend. It's 2pm on a Sunday! Imagine dh didn't check his email and didn't know he needed him to do something?? I swear they all use email to cover their arse!

Well I guess I'm going to go run a few errands myself and get prepared for the week.

Ali- you are exactly right- Kat can't keep waking me like this. I hate the idea of spankings, and honestly I don't think they would do much good so I skip that part of the acceptable "child discipline" However, your mentions of positive reinforcement have been helping. We praise her when she sleeps all night long, etc. I have researched on the web and what I have found pretty much coincides with what I thought-- most kids go through this stage and they get pushy and bratty and loud and try everything in the book to get you to cave in and let them have their way. If I slip up even once and let her have her way we would be back to square one. Dh is usually so exhausted (and since it's me she wakes up anyhow....) he's of the mind "just let her sleep in our bed".

That'd be terrible! For me anyway as I always end up with my bum hanging over the bedside and the rest of me on my desk! Anyway here is what I have been doing...She'll wake me, I chastise her and make her go to bed. I cover her up and leave- that way she has to go to sleep by herself with out me there comforting her. Next time she wakes me up I get really upset with her and make her go back to her room by herslef. She usually howls loudly and cries and screams but I ignore her and go back to my room. My biggest problem is if she wakes dh he's going to get irritated- at me for not "handling" it in a quiet manner. LOL! Oh how I wish it was Papa at this point that she wanted to be her buddy LOL! He does talk to Kat but I think I am going to have to step up the discipline alittle bit more.....

I'm wondering how come you ladies can't see when we bd on the chart b/c I did put it in. FF says I am 3dpo. Now as far as my temps, I did sleep in late yesterday (9:40) and today I took it at 7:50, whereas during the week I take it around 5:30-6am. I was so bad this morning, I temped, then got up for a little bit, but then crawled back into bed until 11:30!!!!! I mean, we got home at 2am but I went right to sleep. I have had no problem going back to sleep these past 2 mornings...I am usually up around 8 on the weekends if I can sleep past my normal week day time...and to be honest, I could take a nap right now. It's been a stressful couple of weeks so maybe that's it.

It might be because it is a free FF profile, and maybe that is something that comes with the paid version? Or maybe it has to do with the profile vs. the thumbnail of FF.

I hear you on the sleeping, I think I could go back to bed right now! LMAO. I still haven't put my beef burgundy into the crock pot. I need to do that ASAP if I plan on eating it before midnight. I was just searching for a donor. It is not easy! GEESH! Plus the pictures the donors submitted on the accounts I was looking at were terrible! The only one that was super awesome was for the donor that has a WAITLIST. ARGH.

Can I just say I am exhausted? Aaargh, so much for plans of a relaxing and restful night! Starters I went to bed when I wanted - which ended up being very late- and no sooner got in bed than Kat wakes up! So I put her back to bed with a stern reprimand (verbal of course). I look at the clock and it is 1:30....I fall asleep. Kat wakes me up. Again! It is 1:50 So I ask wat is wrong and she smiles and says "Nothing, I just want to be your buddy."

Awww....that's sweet....Now get to bed! lol! And we did this 4-5 times last night, darnn it all! Plus I wake up literally every hour to pee *sigh* Between Kat and Aeryn my sleep is yuk....so finally I got up late, made the dd's breakfast, started the fireplace to knock the chill off, let the dog out, cleaned the kitchen, put dd's in the tub, and had a cup of coffee...a small one

My hopes and plans today include maybe one more cup of coffee and a nap!

Here is my body symptoms last night and today--incredible vaginal pressure and every time Aeryn moves (tmi alert!!) I get these big gobs of cm ...So maybe I am dilating more? Anyways a very uncomfortable night in regards to vaginal pressure. Today the same thing- every time she moves I get these copious amounts of cm and more pressure. Maybe she will just pop out and we can skip all thepain and drama

Have you ever had the globs of cm like that before in either of your pregnancies? As for the sleep you got...I wish you had help nearby so someone could take the girls for a few hours so you could nap. Do they ever have play dates? If you lived in NY I'd help you out for sure!

You know as far as cm with myother pregnancies I didn't know to look for it! I was very ignorant of the female reproductive system and how it works aside form "sex gets you pregnant" type stuff, lol. But I have learned so much in the past few years that I know to watch for certain things. I know anytime cm shows up it is (obviously) cervix related and at this point in my case anything cervix related has me hopeful

Re: your dh and work. Oh I hate people like that too! In other words your dh has the weekend of but is constantly "on-call" (unofficialy) whenever this dude wants to take it easy or is too lazy to finish his own work, righ? Ugh. Loser Your dh must be very ambitious though, hats off for that! Hopefully he gets home son

Oh yeah- I love dogs! It took a long time to convince my dh we needed one...I grew up with tons of them ( akennel of Huskies) so felt weird not having one. When T was 3.5 I told him I wanted one and a lady was selling Boston Terrier pups...His words "Hon, if you want one, go ahead and get it, I won't mind!!" So I came home with it and he was like lol! He put up a big fuss and after about a week made me find a home for it...took me all of 10 minutes! That night he pokes me awake and whisperes "Do you think you can get Rocky back?...?" LOL! SO I called the family and they happily gave me the puppy back. We have had her for 5 years or so and aside from this leaking problem she has she has been so great for the dd's! Big city would be tough though, you'd probably be better off getting a smallish dog, huh?

Ali- it is so weird to see you talking beef burgundy crockpot and donors in the same paragraph... lol! Seriously tho- put the burgundy on I'm hungry! Re:donors. Yeah, I mean, it's not good to be shallow I suppose but is it wrong (since you have a choice) to want someone NOT butt-ugly? That is what you are talking about, right? Or are you talking "looking at were terrible" means stats?

Baby- I agree with Ali on the FF site...I think the smaller versions just don't offer as much I just used the free version and didn't put too much info on it.
