Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Yea, everything is confusing on mine. No clue why it gave crosshairs on CD12 when I had more fertile signs on CD14. So I'm not optimistic for CD12, but am ok since we BDed in the morning on CD14 as well. I stopped OPKing now.

I was doing some reading and there were so many possibilities for the pos days.

its very confusing.... I give up. :baby:

I think basically when our temp is pretty steady,s ay 97'ish, preov that developes a coverline...when you peak above it, say 98'ish, then it is assumed you have ov'd like the night beofre. Then when it drops BELOW 97'ish it is assumed AF is on her way. I play it by ear?...? lol!

Chantal- I know, opk's CAN be stressful! The whole ttc process can be stressful. What has RE said to you? o they recommend IVF? How is your dh's SA? I am rying to remember, I know we have discussed it before...My brain  I ony got maybe 2 hours of sleep so I am rummy today!

I know- winter can be very depressing. My dh is always in pain because of his neuropathy, etc, and wniter months make it so much harder :sad1: We want to move somewhere warmr with steady barometer like California or Hawaaii  Plus I'm bound to tan eventually! :happydance: lol!

Yes Coy I love Hawaii and the temp there is just like Barbados. We went there on our Honeymoon. I had been there when I was 8 with my parents. I have told dh that he should try to get a job there :) You like to tan? That used to be my favorite past time. From living in Barbdos for 27 years I had a permanent tan. I always said I had an olive complexion but since I have been here I found out how ghostly white I can get :dohh:
That's ok it is difficult to remember everything as so many ladies have different journeys. The RE didn't recommend anymore ivf with my own eggs since our embryos were poor quality. 2 years ago he said it was dh's sperm but now he says we should use donor egg because dh's sperm had time to improve after all this time so it must be my eggs. Ali made me realize that I need to get a second opinion. That is the plan after we return from Barbados.

Sounds like a good plan to me! I hope you have a great time in Barbados!!

Hi :hi: ladies!

Jess.. so happy you are back! Makes me so happy to see you posting again

Twiggers.. cycles are  especially when you are over 35. They do all sorts of crazy things. Just be patient and try to hit the window of when you have EWCM and/or positive OPKs. Hopefully you get a BFP after this cycle, that would be amazing! If not, it may take you a few months to figure your cycles out. Plus just when you figure them out, they change! Much like babies. You finally get into a good routine and then they mix it up  It takes patience and lots of :sex:

Coy.. I hope your DH is doing a little better, and I totally agree, a nice climate does wonders. I have heard that hot/dryer climates are good for people with arthritis, like Arizona. Has anyone else heard that? Maybe that would be a good place to go? Plus right now I bet buying a house there would be relatively easy. Or maybe Nevada? I love how you hope that one day you will have a tan.. that sounds like me! I never tan!

Samsfan.. don't give up! Just wait to see what the Endo says, and then go back to see your FS. I was reading about another lady's journey and she had to wait months and months for them to figure out her thyroid, her NK cells, and a few other things, but they finally got it all worked out and she is pregnant! So it IS possible. Just a little patience, and seeing the right Dr's and you will be right on track

AFM.. I think I'm coming out of the FLU! I only worked a 1/2 day today, and relaxed all afternoon. Then I got some super human strength (IDK how I did it), and moved my family room around, so I am all ready for the delivery of my new TV console. Then all that is left is to move the new rug in, and my family room will have a whole new look. My next purchase will be throw pillows in bright colors to liven up the room, and the roman shades to cover the windows. The final step will be to re-paint my common rooms, I'm thinking a soothing green, but possibly an energizing yellow?

AF is being a pain, she is now late! She should have been here on Tuesday, I'm now on CD34 with Friday being CD35. I am going to call my FS and get them to prescribe something to hasten it along. I want to get started!

Thanks Ali! I didn't have any EWCM this month and still trying to figure out sticky versus wet/watery. I had one day of more clumpy stuff yesterday, but up to then it had been mostly clear, but not super watery. If there is a next month, then I may try grapefruit juice or something. I remember having CM when I was younger, but who knows now!

Patience is not one of my strengths!!

I'm not patient either, but it is the best advice, it is the best way to deal with the  of TTC! :haha:

EWCM is something you can promote, with several things. If you like taking supplements, evening primrose oil will do it. If you are into taking medicine, then try mucinex, and if you just want to help the :spermy: along, then preseed. The only one that actually helps regulate your hormones is the evening primrose oil. This is something that Phil used, and she had great luck! Mucinex and preseed just help promote a healthy medium for the :spermy:

Good morning ladies,

Well ff is still showing fertile and said ovulation wasn't detected because my temps are lower than before positive opk and ewcm. I think maybe my body geared up to ovulate but egg wasn't released and now ewcm is gone and cervix has closed up and no longer soft. I have been getting mild cramps for 2 days. I am blaming the flu shot for messing up my cycle this month!

Woke up to snow. Guess I will have to go outside and shovel the driveway and sidewalk. The snowblower isn't working. Hope you all have a great day! :)

We did use preseed this month, but it would be nice to have the EWCM to help identify fertile period.

Sorry never :( hopefully it pops out soon :)

twiggers, primrose oil really helps. I was taking it 3 years ago when I got bfp. Then I guess I just forgot and stopped taking it. My :af: cramps got much worse and I remembered that they had gotten better when I was on it. So 3 months ago I starting taking it again and noticed alot of ewcm. I think it would help to decrease cramps if I took it all cycle like I used to do but I have been told that you are only supposed to take it before ovulation.

Thanks! Are there any side effects at all? is it just a pill?

I'm not 100% sure, Chantal or Phil could help you with specifics, but I would think that since it is an oil it is probably either liquid or a softgel/capsule, kind of like how omega 3 comes.

I'm finally feeling better! Still a little tired, but WAYYYYY better! It is a great day here today. Cool for Florida, but sunny and with a gentle breeze. Only bad thing is that its chilly in the house. I'll survive, just need to go get a sweater!

I also called my FS, but so far no response. I want to know if they want to call in something to get my cycle going. I'm getting anxious, and want to start!

Good morning ladies! :hi:

I am just checking in with you all. I am in the midst of my TWW and all I can do is surf the net looking for creative ways to tell bf when the time comes. :)

Ali...so glad you are feeling better. :)

Chantal...Snow?! I think that is awesome! Of course I live in central Texas...there is no snow here!

Twig...I took primrose in a capsule form and I believe it helped with the quality of my CM. But when I ran out I never wen and got any more. I have also used mucinex and preseed. But I hahven't used anything for the last couple of months.

Coy...I am about to take my lunch and go run. I have a goal to run 20 days the month of February. (Unless I get a bun in the oven!!) How is the weather? Still a lot of snow?

Ok ladies, have a great weekend. I am off to hit the running trails!

checking in everyone sooo sorry havent been on for awhile, have had some financial issues, promblems with renters, court issues, and TTC all at the same time. needless to say I am still here, As for me right now I am on my 4th round of clomid. Doc has dropped my clomid from 200mg to 100mg and added metformin, this last month I had no AF just spotted for 2 days and never got a full flow, not pregnant, and doc. said temp chart showed no ovulation, anyone tried metformin I am on my second day, so far so good.He perscibed it as 1 500mg pill for 7 days and then the following week 2 pills for 7 days and then the 3rd weel 3 pills a day there after, so it will put me at 1500mg of metformin a day and clomid 100mg cd 5-9, so waiting on AF. wishing you and you famlies well and lots of baby dust to all HUGS HUGS FRIENDS.

Yes it comes in a soft gel cap which I find easier to take than in liquid form. I take 500 mg but i used to take 1300. Thinking about it now, maybe that does was better for af cramps. I have tried Solaray and Barleans and they are both good.
:dust:
