Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Temp dropped :( what was up with the spike yesterday?

Grey - it was so stark white, so I trashed it!

I wouldn't worry too much about the drop twiggers. Look at this :bfp:chart that had a similar spike and drop. I only use bbt for ovulation after that it is best to just relax because some charts don't look triphastic and the woman still ends up being pregnant

Aww thanks....trying to keep the hope up :) I didn't test this AM, but maybe with a cheapie tonight.

Implantation takes a few days so if testing is going to bring your hopes down you should maybe wait one more day as it is still very early.

Good Morning ladies! :hi:

Chantal...what is up with the nightmares? Wow! I hate having nightmares. I dream fairly often but nightmares for me are rare...thank goodness! :)

Twiggers...I am one day behind you (9DPO). Still too early to test. :(

Coy
...how are you and the girls doing?

Ali...did AF finally arrive like she is supposed to!?

AFM...I am 9DPO. I feel a little down. I seem to go through these mood swings where first I think there is truly a chance that I might be pregnant. And then, the next minute I am doubting that I might be pregnant. Drives me nuts! On top of that, just a few minutes ago, when I went to the bathroom (TMI warning!) and I had to "push" a bit (IYKWIM), there was a tad bit of pink when I wiped. :( Boooo! I know God knows what is best for me, and ultimately He is the one that decides if I get to have another baby, but I wish He would just say YES---soon! ;)

I spent the better part of 3 hours yesterday looking at pictures of pregnancy tests that were posted online. They were categorized by how many DPO the woman was when she took it. It was a neat website. If anyone else want to check it out here is the link...

You can select the DPO at the top of the page. :)

Jess do you usually start spotting on cycle day 26? The reason I ask is that alot of ladies get implantation bleeding at 9 dpo. Don't feel sad :hugs: When I start thinking negative I do yoga. Ommm :) I still have the digital pic of my :bfp: in January 2010. It was one of those cheapy dollar store tests.

I think the progesterone is causing my nightmares. I googled and it said can cause vivid dream like in pregnancy. It was very disturbing like Hannibal. A woman in a purple jersey ( Well I was rooting for the Ravens:football:) Well she went nuts and bit out a person's cheek and then pushed a lady off the balcony and and that lady's arm was amputated and they were trying to see if she was still living and put her arm on ice. It was very gross and scary.

When it comes to spotting before AF, there is no normal with me. Sometimes it can be spotting everyday for a week before and sometimes no spotting at all and everything in between. (Although most of the time I spot) But my spotting is normally brown, not pink. Well, there is nothing happening right now. So maybe it is ok. I think I am going to wait til AF is officially late before I test...probably Monday. I sure hope she doesn't show up...:winkwink:

Jess - don't feel sad. Although I wonder if you need a little help with progesterone in the latter part of your cycle? I think Coy did this, and that helped her. My FS has always given me progesterone support at the end of my cycles too. Didn't Chantal mention a natural progesterone that she is taking?

Still no AF, but I think she is going to make her appearance when I go see my FS. It feels like it is right there. My back is about to break in half and the cramping has amped up quite a bit. I just want to crawl back into bed :( I have been feeling like this for the better part of 10 days though, and that is the part that gets old. As soon as it shows, and the first days are over, I feel great. I love my cycle from day 3-17 then I start feeling crappy. I wonder if there is some syndrome or something that causes this? I also think it is possible that I skipped ovulation this month, and that could be causing it. Or maybe a cyst? I just wish it wouldn't happen.. ahhhhh :nope:

Jess I am using Emerita Pro-gest natural progesterone. I bought it from Amazon after reading several reviews and watching a video about it on this website.
https://www.naturalfertilityshop.com/Emerita-Progest-p/ef0032.htm
With my ivf cycles had absolutely no cramps when :af:came. I usually get spotting anywhere from day before :af: is due to 4 days before. I am hoping the progesterone helps with this too.

Ali, If you had a cyst it would cause spotting and heavy bleeding. I would spot for 7 days before :af: and it was very heavy when I had my fibroid. It is quite common after ivf to have a weird cycle. The fertility drugs mess up the system.

I know, thing is that this happens to me about 1-2 times a year. I have these wonky cycles that are around 40-50 days long, and I feel horrible, gain 10 lbs, and just want my period to show. You know the PMS stuff you get right around your period? Well it is like I get into that time period, and just stay there for 2 weeks! It is horrible. Then my period shows and a few days later its like the flip of a switch, and I feel normal again. I wish I knew what caused it, if I knew then I would have a greater chance of fixing it. I have had cysts before, and they often were seen during this type of cycle. But then I've gone suspecting a cyst and there hasn't been one. So I don't know if it dissolved before the ultrasound, or was never there? It just makes me so annoyed that I don't know what is causing my body to get so out of whack!

Jess- :hi: I am doing great, I got a semi-ok nights sleep so ready to go :laugh2: No need to feel down, but I know where you are coming from...such high hopes then beat yourself up saying "probably not" but then the "probably" gets your hopes up again! Best thing (I think anyway) is just accept whichever and stay determinedly on your path toward :baby: ...God appreciates determination, I think  IDK...I nag the crap out of Him :haha: He probably sees me coming and puts in ear plugs  Try not to stress. I even give God my list of pros and cons while leaning heavily on the pros....should I be an attorney? :haha:

Hi there lovely Ladies, sorry, been MIA again, not doing too good at keeping in touch at the moment. I guess I'm trying not to be quite as obsessed as I have been for a while.

Coy, thanks for the FB poke yesterday. xx

Well, I have my appointment now for the Gynaechology / Infertility clinic, its the 21st February. I know they are going to tell me to lose weight, but hopefully I can prove to them how I've been trying over the last couple of years. Hopefully they won't prejudge me too much.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've just had a look on Facebook and see that an old school friend of mine has just given birth to baby number 10. Yep, you read correctly, number 10!!!!! She's a little cutie too. The mother herself was one of about 7 when I was at school with her, but I believe she has siblings around the same age as her eldest couple, so not sure now. Here's me and lots of others struggling to make baby number 1.

I use 2 different OPK, a cheap cassette one from about CD10 onwards and when I see 2 lines on that one, I use the Clearblue Digital, well, the day before yesterday, cheapie showed 2 lines, CB showed negative. Yesterday, cheapie showed 2 lines, CB showed a little smiley face. Today, Chepie showed 2 lines and CB showed negative again. I don't really know what to think at the moment as I've had a couple of seperate smileys before too. I guess I've just got to check with my temps and keep doing the cheapies.

Hubby wasn't really in much of a mood for 'nookie' last night, but as we had a smiley, he managed to come up for a quickie. Its funny, in all the 13 years we've known eachother, I don't think we've ever had a quickie. Sorry if TMI!

Well, got some errands to run now, so will pop off, but will honestly try to be in touch more.

Chantal - you need to gain 10 pounds :growlmad:

LOL! JK! When I was in my early 20s I weighed 100 and I KNOW that I was too skinny..all hip and rib bones. But I hated people telling me that I was TOO anything iykwim? Dh laughs when I go nuts trying to lose weight but he understands that "comfortable" feeling you're talking about. I like not squishing over my jeans waist band :haha: But truth is my mw told me to gain so I deliberately gained and did get preggo...whether that's related or not... Oh, I was going to ask too...do you eat lots of fish/seafood? I have heard terrible stuff in regard to toxicity so I cut it out completely. I used to love tuna but :nope: I worried it would hamper my bfp chances. Mercury, etc...

Terri- lol @ the "quickie"...I think those are a necessary part of married life :haha: Not always of course but once in a while life demands it..kids, schedules, etc...gonna be watching your chart! :winkwink: Love it when you pop on here :hugs:

K....I got my sleeping babe in one arm and I'm busy typing w/the other, so......who's gonna go fill my coffee cup? :coffee:...takers? anyone?

:sad1:

lol!

My AFM. Hm, well, Kat only woke me once last night...she said I was calling her  I hope to heck not! Wouldn't that be a kick? Finally get her to sleep then call her while talking in my sleep . When I am overtired I do tend to talk in my sleep, walk in my sleep, clean house in my sleep....

Ah- I was finally able to bbt this am though  Dh let me sleep in too :cloud9: until 9!!! I am planning to make one quick errand run today, thinking on foot...might save a tire ...:laugh2: Then, I start my new class :happydance: Get T finished w/her school, Kat finished w/her school (she is learning to put sounds together for reading-not bad for 3 years old!!) then cut wood, make dinner, work out...

Thanks all :-) I know it's early....maybe I am just negative because I had a rough night last night. I did pick up the package this morning though...so I have the cheapies.

jm - I feel the same way as you right now....and it's only cycle #1 *sigh*

Twiggers- we all have our down days  Try to stay positive and remember- a bfn is not the end of the world, just an awesome chance to try again :hugs: But sooooo damned frustrating! :haha: What's a good pick-me-up for you? Shopping? heheeh...am I being an enabler? If shopping brightens your day-go shop! Get new shoes, I love to shoe shop....glad you have your hpt's finally! whay mIu are they??

Jess! I need help, lol:haha: What's a good breakfast idea? High protein? What do you throw in for carbs? I know crackers are bad, and I seem to have lost my taste for them. Should I work out sefveral times a day or...? Usually I try mid-day (if I can) then evening. Running is always a "want" but not always a for sure thing because of Aeryn...she is becoming a mama's girl :cloud9: and quite clingy right now. But weights I do every day and stretching...
