It's probably too soon to tell, FF will let you know once you've had a few days of higher temps since O. Did you use and OPKs? The EWCM is a good sign, but again, FF usually tries to get a few extra temps and other factors before it will give you an O date. Just keep BD'ing!!! Just in case :)

Thanks! I did not use an opk, b/c they were so expensive! If I did O yesterday, we timed the bd'ing perfectly! Right at noon, I used pre seed, and one of the softcups and then slept for about an hour :) Like I said, no :coffee: is killing me! :haha: Also, bd'd on Sunday night so I'm hopeful. But yes, going to keep the bd'ing going!:)

Unfortunately there is no real way we can tell if we are ovulating. Even with EWCM, an smiley face on the CBE OPK and a temp rise, not all women ovulate. The only way to know for sure is to have blood work done about 7DPO and an ultrasound. The blood work will check for a rise in progesterone, and the ultrasound would pick up the corpus luteum (collapsed follicle after ovulation). Since we don't typically go to the Dr's every month, the best things we can do are watch our temps, our CM and use OPKs. Since you didn't use the OPKs, its a little more difficult to pinpoint the O. It will likely take a few more days. Have you been tracking your cycles for a while? Do you have an idea of when you normally ovulate? Some women have 2 surges, and this can happen as we age, or if we have PCOS, and so we get all excited over the first surge, and we stop testing, but then a few days later we get a second spike and that is when we actually O. So for now, I'd just keep taking your temp with a basal thermometer the second you wake up (before you speak, pee or anything else). It is also important to go to bed at the same time, and wake up at the same time. I've taken my temp when I wake up, and 5 minutes later (after a pee) and the difference is remarkable! Like 0.5 degrees difference. So it is really important to catch that first temp. So take your temps, study your CM, and BD every other day for another few days! That way if you didn't O, and you are about to O, you'll catch it!

Thanks for all the tips! I know that I usually do O early in my cycle like CD 10 (which was yesterday) BUT after starting to chart, I was willing to concede that I O later than I originally thought. But you are right, who knows!? I feel much warmer today than I have the last week so I am betting that O was yesterday but will continue with the BD ing!!:)

Always best to err on the side of caution until you know what your cycles are doing. Then again, maybe this one will be the month and you won't have to keep figuring out your cycles! So BD woman!! :)

I'm not sure how old you are, or what your insurance options are, but if you are on this thread I'm assuming your are 35+. Some women in their early 30s have low ovarian reserve, and then others like me at 40 have a normal ovarian reserve. Plus other factors make it more difficult as we age to get pregnant. So I always suggest that if you have decent insurance, and you don't mind going to get an ultrasound and blood work done, then I would suggest seeing your OBGYN, telling him you are trying and want to just make sure everything is looking good. That way you don't waste precious months trying when there is an obvious issue. If all is good, then keep trying and see what happens! FYI.. the best time to get your blood work done is on Day 3 of your cycle (they can do the ultrasound then too) actually it is good to have it done at that moment. If they are nice and tell you what they are seeing, they can tell you how many follicles are growing, and which side, and all sorts of cool things!

Hey Ladies, thanks for your suggestions about the Fertili Tea. I was also thinking it best to wait until AF, but just wanted to put it out there. I think that would be the safest option for now.

Ali, as for ID, in the grand scheme of things, that extra cost is not a lot. It doesn't mean that as soon as your child(ren) can understand things, you're going to tell them who he is, but it is something that can be kept in a little box until the day when they ask for it. I mean, I'm sure, as they are growing up, you will be open with them about how they were conceived and maybe they'll realise how much you wanted them and thats whats important.

Coy, come on Woman, we want to meet Aeryn.

Twotogo, I hope your headache gets better soon and that your interview goes really well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

This is very true Ali, I had smiley faces twice this cycle within a week of eachother. I do have PCOS, well, I was told I had it 20 years ago and considering the extreme irregularity of my cycles, I'm assuming I still do. I will continue to use OPKs, just the cheap ones until I get my BFP. I test with the cheap ones when I think I'm likely to O (very difficult to tell with me), then, when I see a second line, I use a smiley.

I have an ultrasound booked for the 27th, which will tell me if I still have cysts or fibroids. Its strange because part of me hopes they have all gone and theres nothing wrong, but part of me hopes there is something there that can be dealt with.

That is very cool! I am 36 and we are ttc #3. I had a miscarriage this past June so I'm pretty certain that I can get pregnant. With my oldest, we had actually gone to see a fertility specialist and on our first visit, we found out I was pregnant! :haha: Baby #2 was a total surprise so that's why I'm a little confused as to why it's taking so long. I guess age BUT I think that possibly the amount of caffeine that I have been drinking maybe is hurting me. And interestingly, when we started to TTC this time I had bought a keurig and had started drinking way more coffee than ever...like a ridic amount 6-8 cups of strong coffee! So that's why I cut back as Coy had suggested. (speaking of...do you think that baby came!!:baby::baby:) I'm hoping eliminating the caffeine will help.

My dh doesn't want to seek any fertility treatment b/c he thinks that if we are meant to have only 2 kids we need to be content and happy with that. I am happy but I think men don't understand when a woman just doesn't feel that their family is complete. Also, I know that most obgyn's here are not really in the "getting you pregnant" business. You really have to go to a FS for that. At least, that is what we experienced with my oldest.

Oh wow, I didn't realize you already had 2 well that is awesome! :)

I know my OBGYN did baseline blood work, and an ultrasound, said everything looked good and then passed me on to the FS (because I am single and need a donor). They don't do IUIs or anything like that. So I had to see a FS.

Well if you were PG in June, (and 2 times before), it sounds like you guys can do it on your own YAY! Probably just need patience, and monitoring your cycle and maybe consider a few herbs that are known to improve fertility? Also, the sperm could be an issue, make sure your DH is getting enough rest and isn't drinking too much caffeine, smoking or drinking too much alcohol. Oh, and make sure he is wearing boxers, and letting them breathe! :haha:

Yep.. the ID would be nice, but I think I've decided that in the grand scheme of things, getting quality is best, and if he is also an open ID donor then all the better! I just know that my children will have questions, and I think it would be nice to have the option at 18 to seek him out. The child may choose not to, but I think I would prefer that they have the option, you know?

Ali- how are ya lady? I sure hope you are feeling better today and those antibiotics are doing something positive for you  It sucks being sick :sad1: You never mentioned what type of infection, not sure why I am assuming sinus, but  goes with the season!

Babydust- it sure looks like you may have ovulated! I am trying to figure out your marks on the chart- I understand the cm marks but what are the asterisks for? But I agree with Ali- FF usually waits for a couple-3 days before they put your crosshairs. And as you just started I am not sure if they will- they never did with mine :growlmad: Also- way to go on the no :coffee: It's hard but you're tough! Also- I am 37 (36 when I got prego) and had a mc in November...doc and I considered the possibility of a failing corpus luteum as a cause. Have you considered once you do get your bfp going on a progesterone supplement? I did until week 13 or so just to cover my bases. At this point (wether I needed it or not) I am so glad that I did!

Terri- I can understand your stance on the cysts and fibroids. Part of you wants a concrete reason why it's been difficult to get and stay pregnant but I am sure a part of you wants everything to be perfect so you can quickly move forward. Either way you are doing the right thing in checking it out  Prepare, prepare, prepare, right? It's what we women do :haha:

AFM- No baby yet :growlmad: I slept soOOoo miserably last night- cramps in my calves and hips all night, plus it felt like babes was just going to squeeze down and all the way out on her own! I will say quite candidly that it is difficult to rest when all that is happening, ahem, down there. lol! I think she is a very determined little girl! :cloud9: She's about out now as it is, why wait for contractions? I got up and took dh's shower slot :haha: Poor fella- he puts up with me though :haha: Doctor's appointment today, maybe we can find out what's up?

My sister had a donor too:) Her husband is much older and had a vasectomy early in life, they did a reversal but it didn't take. My niece is now 13yo and about the most intelligent, out going, beautiful girl ever! I'm not sure if they "know" by name the donor or not. I will have to ask her...interesting! I don't think my niece knows yet that she was from a donor. She might, but not sure...Well I have my fx'd for you!!!

Oh man, I remember with ds feeling like I was walking around with a bowling ball between my legs! So miserable. Come on :baby:!!!!! Let's get this show on the road!

The asterisks are for spotting, I think. We will keep the bd'ing going! Gotta figure out how to spice it up tonight lol:haha: I did not ever get any confirmation on what caused the mc. It was 5 weeks so very early but I would definitely want to consider that. If I get a bfp, I will ask the ob about that. Thank you!

Ahhhh....time to relax a bit...girls are being good in the living room (what's up with THAT!) and dh is busy so I am comfortably esconced in my office wondering what I should eat :haha: I had a piece of toast this morning but I am getting the urge for something ... sweet. Isn't that terrible? Hmm.. Yogurt maybe? Fruit? In the famous words of Whinnie the Pooh, "BOTH"! :rofl:lol.

I had a tough time getting dd's to sleep last night :bodyb: They wanted to rough house-play then they wanted to bounce on the bed, then when they realized it was seriously bed time they got sad and cried hard  then threw fits...*sigh*....they initially wanted s tory read to them but since it took (literally) an hour and a half for them to brush their teeth and put their pajamas on I said an emphatic "no" to story time. I give them a time-line to follow - if they can't do that they are out of luck...am I mean? They even tried to force dh to make me read to them! He knows better than that, lol! ....Then they got exhausted from all that and fell asleep  I am tired today but since it seems to be sunny maybe a walk is in order and then work on something constructive......

No you are not mean! You are being a great mommy! You are teaching them that there are rules and they have to follow the rules or there are consequences. My 4 year old has been a problem at bedtime ever since we moved him from a crib to a bed. He has been pretty good about bed time (7pm) for the last couple months. But still comes out about 3 times because he has to "go potty" "forgot a toy" or my fave "I just want to love you mommy" lol...it's thick! I am pretty strict about bedtime b/c if I give them an inch they will most definitely take 100 miles!! I have friends whose kids "supposedly" NEVER come out of their rooms and go to bed super easy but I think we are more the "norm". At least your girls eventually do go to bed...I have heard major horror stories! Don't fret!! You are doing the right thing!

Ooooh, my 3.5 year old does that! :growlmad: She'll wake me up sometimes 3-4 times a night with the excuse "I just wanted to hug you mama" lol! So then it's put her back to bed...but I have gotten to where I just walk to her bedroom door (to make sure she goes to bed again) and she has to tuck herself in. I'm a one-tuck mom now! You mess up your tuck you're out of luck, lol!

Ali- how are ya lady? I sure hope you are feeling better today and those antibiotics are doing something positive for you  It sucks being sick :sad1: You never mentioned what type of infection, not sure why I am assuming sinus, but  goes with the season!

I was told it was an upper respiratory infection? I don't think its sinuses as I usually get migraines with them. So I think it is in my lungs, but upper and not lower? If it were lower I think that would be pneumonia. EEK!

I am feeling a tiny bit better, my energy level is better, but that could be due to the B12 shot I had the other day. That usually helps me with my energy.

BABY.. OMG she is just biding her time isn't she? Silly girl, probably stubborn! She is putting her foot down and saying.. NOOOOO I do not want to come out yet! :haha:

I hope your appt goes well, I wonder what the Dr will say? Will he suggest induction? Sounds like she's 1/2 way out already.. just a few pushes and bam!

I don't think he'll suggest induction...last week he said he is not oppposed to going over -term as long as the ambiotic fluid stays high but he said if it starts to drop into a danger zone then "there are definately things we can do to hurry the process along". Which, I am assuming, means induction. Dh and I are pretty oppposed to induction because of the danger of the meds to babes but we'll have to see what's up. I am always wondering- which is better for babes? Induction with long doses of meds or c-sectionw ith meds but quickly babes is removed? I told dh I want to think about this stuff now so we won't be left hemming and hawing and researching if we have to make a quick informed decision.....

And I know, right?! Couple pushes babes- that's all we gotta do! :haha: I would TOTALLY skip contractions but not sure that's ever been done? :haha:

Ali- hop, skip, and a jump from pneumonia- I am glad doc has you ont he right meds! Def stay in out of the rain now, is it warming there?
