Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ali- no cyst... they checked me...

Never give up- I think you are right!

JandK - welcome back, I have a similar thing where I get positives for 1-2 days then it is gone. I usually can feel my ovulation, so that helps. It is too bad you couldn't use 2 vials and double your chances. Perhaps skip months and every other month do 2 vials? I'm not sure where you are getting your donor sperm, but where I was getting it the cost of shipping was almost $200 a month, so you could save that by getting 2 vials at one time (course you would have to use them on the same cycle because you won't have the dry ice to keep it super cold). Anyway, just a thought!

Samsfan - do you think you might have a cyst? That is how I feel when I have a cyst. I get grumpy and feel like AF is going to be here any time, and eat everything in site! In fact I feel that way right now. If I don't have AF by Monday, I'm going to call the FS to get an ultrasound. I don't want to delay my trial cycle as that will delay my real cycle in March.

AFM - I'm beat, and so are my doggies! We went to the 11th annual Dachshund Winterfest in South Beach, this afternoon. Doggies had a blast, I'm amazed at how many dachshunds live in south Florida! There had to be 400 or so dachshunds there! Wild! So I'm watching some hockey and I'm going to bed soon. AF is still not here, not sure where it is? I would hope that I get my period tomorrow, I am starting to feel like it is closing in on me. Only problem is that I'm going to a ladies brunch tomorrow and I'm planning on wearing white capris! :haha: If that doesn't bring AF on I don't know what will! Someone suggested I POAS! That would bring AF on!

So I was doing some calculations as to when my baby might be born if we do the FET in late-March, and whether he/she would be born in 2013. I think they will be, as my due date would be Dec 10-20th. I think I have until April 9th to do the FET and still have the baby born in December, and another 2-3 weeks if I end up having twins. Apparently twins have a lower gestational due date? So we need to hit those dates ladies, that is if you want a baby in 2013!

 Enjoy your Saturday evening!

Here is video taken today at the Dachshund Winterfest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqU73UCkM0A&feature=youtu.be

Unbelievable that in 2 minutes you will see more dachshunds than you would see in 2 years! It was a fun day but I'm exhausted!

Unfortunately my 2 aren't in the video (that I could see) still, an amazing thing to see!

When I reply with quote I can see the url in your message so maybe if I reply others will see it too

I copy and pasted it from reply with quote. I never realized how many different looks of Dachshunds there are! I made a comment from my you tube account :) I am pooped from playing kinect sports with friends. Goodnight ladies

I don't have a YouTube account! This was posted by another dachshund owner, but thought I would share. There are so many different types, piebald, dapple, Black and Tan, red, Isabelle, cream, chocolate, chocolate and cream, then there are short hairs, long hairs and wire hairs, and finally there are minis, tweenies and standard sizes! So many possibilities!

I'm trying to sleep but there is someone next door working on his car and the dogs are going crazy! UGH

Hi everyone I am new to all this. I am 36 and married. I was diagnosed with moderate endo in 2005 and have had 4 surgeries...my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year naturally but no success, my husband has low sperm count but other than all is good with his sperm. My specialist states aside from my endo my uterus is great for a baby and doesn't think my husband sperm count is too bad so after a year of trying we start our first IUI cycle on Monday which is day 3 of my cycle. I was pregnant at 19 but chose not to have it because I was young and still in college. I am really scared and nervous about IUI any suggestions. I will be on Letrozle from day3-12 then when the doc it's time I take the ovidrel shot.
One more thing I have a normal cycles that come on time and ovulate normally. I have tracking on fertility friend for the last few months, but I have been tracking my period for years and have good lining....just can’t get pregnant

Hi Babyj76!
welcome to the forum. My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and went the route of IUI. I'm in Canada, so I don't know if it's different here, but I only took Clomid and then used OPK's to determine when I surged, then had the procedure the day after the surge. I just gave birth to a lovely baby girl on the 11th of this month!
if you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them! There are loads of great ladies here to help out with any of your concerns!

Sam- ff doesn't always have their stuff together...it looks to me like you could have ovulated on cd16 or 17. Right now because of my breast feeding hormones I have a very short luteal phase- time between ov and AF. I wonder if you are having some hormone issues? If so that can be really easy to correct

JandK - aha! I wondered- yes I have heard it can be spendy :sad1: but fx'd you catch your eggy!!

Ali- your pups are awesome! Thanks for the pm advice :winkwink: brightened my day!

Chantal- do you have mood issues w/fibromyalgia ? You mentioned ritalin (?) once . No positives yet? You are getting EWCM so I bet within the next 5 days or so!

Phil- :hugs: Miss you!

AFM- so today........is one of those days! :haha: Not sure what to do w/myself so I am doing school. I have an assignment wishes me to express the relationship between the shoreline and the ocean. Hmmmm.....

......They, eh, meet and it get's ..kinda dirty? I kill me....:haha:

Phil, I nearly dropped when I read your post from earlier today, your avatar still says mother of one, expecting no. 2. It took me a moment (after the gulp) to remember that you already have an older child so no.2 has just arrived, and you're not expecting again already! :dohh::winkwink::blush::haha:

xoxo

Coy. I think you are right. I think i ovd later. Im gonna get that egg next time. Endo appointment on Friday.

I'm still figuring out how to update that!

Oh i needed this Sunday. Back to work tomorrow, but I need to take a different approach.

I think that should do it..... my countdown was saying I was over 43 weeks pregnant!

AFM, Babes is still growing and thriving, and last night I had a decent amount of sleep! She slept for 5 hours and then fed every 2 hours, but didn't fully wake up, so I could also go right back to sleep.... it was heaven!

my eldest daughter has a band performance this evening, so we'll see how Babes does at her first official outing.... My parents are coming as well, so the plan is to sit at the back in case I have to slip out....
The weather here is sunny but cool.... I will take the sunny- it always makes me feel better when the sun is shining!

How are you ladies doing today?
phil.

HAHA.. From a Geographers mind a lot more than that happens! :haha: I think they are hoping you talk about convection. How different land masses and oceans work together to create different environments.

Sorry.. I remember taking a class about this kinda thing and being fascinated. Then again I was a geography major! I still get excited about it!

AFM - super mega busy weekend. I'm exhausted! Stuffed and exhausted. I had a girls brunch thing to go to and it was fun, but OMG I ate too much! Had enough food for the entire day! Then ran some errands and I'm finally home and looking forward to getting some laundry done, and taking a nap. Not sure if I will get a nap in as it is getting late and if I sleep now I won't sleep tonight. If no nap, then at least a little time to curl up with my book and chill. Back to work tomorrow though :( I need another day off!

PS. for those on FB, I posed pictures from yesterdays Dachshund Winterfest, and I believe my friends tagged me in the pictures taken at brunch today.

Hello ladies :hi:

Philomena your baby girl is so beautiful. You must be on :cloud9:

Coy that cracked me up what you said about your assignment on the sea and the shore. What class is that assignment for?
Yes I do have mood issues. I used to be a cheerful bubbly person. In the last 6 years I sometimes feel depressed for no reason. Sometimes it's because my body is so achey. Since people know me as always positive and happy I need to hide the depression. Dh is the only one who knows. He is a very neutral person who never gets angry nor overly happy so I don't know how he puts up with me!! He will often say that I am happy over the smallest things! The way I see it, when I feel happy why not spread it around. When I feel down I stay quiet not to bring anyone down. I exercise more and that really helps! My cousins all have fibro and they recommended D-RIBOSE so that is another supplement I have to add.

Good Morning everyone!

First let me say OMG! Phil! your baby is just crazy beautiful!! My heart is full of smiles for you!! Congratulations on such a fantastic miracle. God has truly blessed you.

AFM...well, I am still working out like crazy, learning to play the piano, taking an on-line teacher certification class, looking for a new job, AND still TTC...

I have been doing OPKs for the last 9 days. I was beginning to think it would be a missed cycle. Yesterday morning it was negative and I thought I would just not be ovulating this month. But last night something told me to test again. So I did and I got a smiley face. I was excited! Then I thought it might be a fluke. So I tested again this morning...just a few minutes ago, and there it was again, my smiley face. So, that means I will be ovulating soon, right???? When???
We will BD for the next few days and hope for the best. Please pray for us. :)
I attached a picture of my smiley face too!
