Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Where's Jess?8-[

I'd say she is about 8dpo.....w/perfectly timed bd!

Ladeezz!! How is everyone today?

Twiggers- your chart has me on pins'n'needles! :haha:

Ali- speaking of drinking beers...It has been at least 2 years for me, so last night I got a taste for it. I had a Corona. It was awesome  lol! Anyway, I waited until very late. Aeryn goes to sleep at 10 pm and will sleep until 6 am so that's my window :smug: Any alcohol is gone by time she eats again. I had a very zen night also- I watched Elementary, drank a Corona and  lol!

Yes! we got a crapload (it's a word) of snow...at least a foot. Just got in from shoveling the driveway. dd's had a blast tho- I just left their pj's on and put snowpants and threw them out in it :laugh2: They had fun.

Funny.. I had corona last night too! I really like Stella (partly because I love yelling 'Stella' like in the movie, but also because I drank it by the gallon while I lived in Europe). Unfortunately they were out of Stella.

Glad you had a zen night, it sounds like you needed it! I don't think that having a drink or 2 after their last feeding is going to cause any issue for the baby. I had a friend that would pump and store it up a little so she'd have 1-2 bottles in the fridge, so she could go out for dinner, then she'd pump when she got home (throw that one out), then be ready in the morning for the next feeding. Course she didn't do that every day, but at least then she could have a glass of wine with dinner!

OHH.. I used to LOVE playing in the snow when I was a kid! So much fun :) Snow angels, we'd make slides with the huge snow banks after the plows went by, or snow men! Someone posted a picture of a snow man last night with a snow dachshund beside it! I thought that was fabulous!

I'm thinking nap time now, I had a busy morning. Turns out my car needs some differential motor sensor thing, which my warranty is going to pay for, and I just pay the $100 deductible, YAY! Otherwise it was $900 (EEK).

Still waiting on AF to arrive. Man she is taking her sweet old time! I have decided not to go back on my GF diet or really do too much until I get AF. I ache from head to toe, I'm retaining water, I'm exhausted, I am having insane food cravings :dohh: :growlmad: So I'm going to just push through this, as best as I can, with a plan to get back on the wagon as soon as AF arrives and I start feeling human again. Now I'm going to go nap

Just googled about androgel and TTC and I think I'm going to have a meltdown!! :cry:I'm making dh a doctor appointment with a endocrinologist first thing Monday morning! I never ever realized it could cause a zero sperm count and he has been on it for over 4 years. :dohh: I hope this is reversible. Thanks ladies who knows how long this would have went on because I was so focused on me and not even thinking about him.

WOW! Who knew? Good idea! I have heard either on BnB or elsewhere that sperm regenerate quite quickly, and within a few weeks to a month they can be back. I'd do some googling on how to improve sperm quality and count. There is a supplement that helps tremendously, I just can't remember what it is! :dust:

Really?? I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about! My dh has been on androgel for years and- voila! 3 dd's later :winkwink:

I just talked to hubby about it and he is making an appointment to get all the goods checked out. I have an appointment myself to have a good once over. Hopefully we can get through this and end up with a BFP! Thanks for all the advice and support! :dust:

This is really great to hear!! Thank you!

Oh wow grey eyes! Everything I read said its a big no no. He must have super sperm lol.

LOL! Men! My :spermy: came in a vial. It was super sperm! It was also super expensive! Still, I'm glad I found a good donor, and now I have 4 embryos just waiting for me. March cannot come soon enough! AHHHHHH.. I just want to get the FET going!

Morning Ladies,

Well, I have ov'd, an early one this time for me, being CD39! That means that when I go to see my Gynae/Infertility specialist, I'll either be on a new cycle, CD 2ish or have a BFP. If it is a new cycle, then it would be a perfect time for them to start me on Clomid, so lets see what happens, only 11 days to go.

I'm trying so hard not to obsess this time, but its really hard. My boobs started hurting last night, which is now normal for me. I don't want to start symptom spotting, but I'm sure I will.

I see we have some new ladies on here, I'm sure by now you have noticed what a lovely bunch of ladies we have on here, really helpful, who have a wealth of knowledge. Welcome.

Terri- so great to hear from you! Yes, this cycle seemed shorter - I was comparing with your other cycles, by a good 15 days! That's awesome! Are you taking fertilitea still?

AFM- well...I am up! :haha: Running bath for dd's...Made coffee, let the dog out, sneezed my brains out (I think I have some left), cleaned the kitchen, did dishes. Now I sit here with my amazing cup of Gevalia Espresso and wait for Aeryn to wake up.

Meanwhile my left boob is exploding! :growlmad: I think I'll just go wake the little lazy baby! :haha:

She has started conversing much more lately. Yesterday I went to grocery shop for the entire week (took me a bit) and she kept dh talking the entire time :laugh2: It's so cute, she gets the sincerest expression and looks deep in your eyes when she talks :cloud9:

Tracey - so nice to hear from you :) On getting a positive OPK. YAY! I can't wait to hear how your appt goes in a few weeks. In the mean time I hope you and your DH have been :sex:  I really hope everything goes well and you have a BFP before you see your Dr, but if not at least you are getting the ball rolling with the FS!

Coy - OMG your baby sounds totally adorable! I can just imagine her cooing at your DH the whole time you are shopping. So glad that he is going with you now, saves you some tires and well to be honest it makes me feel a little better for your safety. I know you would go all bad ass :ninja: on anyone if they were to try, but still, its nice to know you are safe!

AFM - I'm freaking exhausted, I think the provera is causing me to be flat out exhausted. I am finding it hard to get my butt moving today, I really need to go out and hit Walmart, Target and the grocery store. I just can't bring myself to get moving though. Right now I just want to go back to bed and read my book for a while! :argh: Oh well, at least the kitchen is clean, the laundry is done, and the doggies are happy. Maybe I'll go laze in bed for a while, hopefully I'll catch my second wind and I'll run out later in the afternoon to get my errands done

Looking at the calendar, I must have miscalculated before, because I'm still on track for doing the FET in late March! It might be closer to April, but I think it will still be in time for me to still have the baby :baby: in 2013! It will only work if we do the FET in March though. FX'd that the trial FET this month gives us the answers we need, and turns out that my cycle doesn't need any further adjustment and we can move on with the FET in March!

Thanks Coy and Ali,

No Coy, I'm not taking the FertiliTea anymore. It comes in a resealable bag, but after a couple of weeks, it started tasting really woody and not nice at all, so I stopped. What I have started doing though is writing down everything I'm eating, so I think that helps me notice what I'm actually putting in my body. I'm eating a lot more fresh food, rather than pre-prepared stuff. Its really silly, the fresh stuff is so expensive, but so much nicer.

We have snow here again today, but it was raining loads beforehand, so I don't think it'll settle too much, its just settling on the cars at the moment. There are some reports coming through here of massive snow fall in America (I can't remember where it was), the pictures look really bad. I hope you're all OK over the pond (and everywhere else people on here live too.)

Fresh foods are always best! Fresh lean meats, vegetables, fruits and dairy, with carbs only sparingly. That is what is best. I am actually in the process of purchasing some of these noodles: shirataki noodles, looks like you can get them online in several different shapes (angel hair, spaghetti, fettuccine, and even rice). Looks like the bags are $2-4 US each, so not super expensive, but what is amazing is that they are carb free! So you can use them the way you normally would but its guilt free. They are made of fiber though and so they fill you up too. I bought the Wheat Belly Cookbook, and they use these in their dishes quite a bit. So I figure I'll order some and see how it goes? It might be something you could try too.

The storm didn't hit here in Florida :haha: It did hit the NE pretty badly. Then I think another storm blanketed the northern mid-west, so it sounds like a good portion of the country is covered in snow. I spoke with my brother who is in southern Ontario and he said they had about 18 inches, but that per usual, the plows were out and within 24 hours, life was back to normal. It is a cloudy and windy day here, but the temps are just fine, mid 70s works for me!

I'm thinking of making a chicken and rice casserole tonight, or perhaps defrosting some of my spaghetti sauce and using up some of the brown rice pasta I have. My other options are GF breaded chicken tenders with roasted veggies, or maybe making a shepherds pie? I'm interested in trying the GF breaded chicken tender recipe. It uses parmesan, GF crushed cereal, and spices, along with eggs, and buttermilk. Then bake them in the oven. So maybe I will get the ingredients for that, and let the chicken tenders soak overnight in the buttermilk. Then I can make them tomorrow? Oohh, I like that idea! But first, I am going to read and relax for a bit. LOL.
