Hi:hi:,
I'm Lorna, I'll include a bit about myself and my little family. I'm 23 in July, I have a 3 year old son called Michael. I've been with my other half for almost 8 years.
We began TTC no.2 in July of 2013, so I got my implant out in the last week of June and after one cycle I found out we were expecting. I was shocked as after numerous cervical treatments for precancerous cells I thought it would take longer.

My due date was May 2nd, which came and passed :haha:
On May 6th I went to see my MW at around 2:30pm as I felt like my water was leaking or going to burst there was so much pressure down there.
She said nothing was happening and everything was closed so I prepared for the 11th my induction date.
I went to the shop at 6.30pm with my sister and said to her that I felt like my waters were going to go, I went home and went to lay on my bed then they just popped!
I ran to the toilet, waters went all over the floor and it was a yellowy/green same as DS1 so I knew it was meconium staining.

Contractions started 15mins later and were 3mins apart, hospital automatically placed me as high risk, so I had to go to labour instead of mid led.
Contractions were strong from 7.30pm 2.5-3mins apart but were only 30-40secs long, so they put me in a drip to make the contractions stronger, gas&air worked well and I was able to managed with it until 10.45pm where I was 3cm but they upped the drip and it was becoming excruciating.
I then got diamorphine at 11pm which helped take the edge off the pain but it didn't last long.
I was checked again at 12am was only 4cm and it all went slowly from there, so I asked for an epidural which after 30 mins wasn't working so the midwives topped it up and it still didn't work. They called the anethitist back in, who explained it doesn't work in 1-80 people and said she didn't want to risk repositioning it. They said my slow labour was down to my cell removal of pre-cancerous cells after DS1.
5.10am I was 5cm and they were talking about assisting me if I hadn't progressed by 7am as I was exhausted and wanted to give up.
6am I needed to push, pushed for 21 mins had ventouse 3pulls (which popped off twice, I thought it was my sons head!), an episiotomy after a second degree tare which resulted in 29 stitches.

They had him for 20-25mins while I was being stitched, he was being checked over by a pediatrician and then a student. (I was so mad as I just wanted to hold my baby) OH was giving me kisses and was telling me how proud he was but I just wanted to hold Harry.

Then they handed him to me:
Harry Lee OKane
Date-7/5/14
Time- 6.21am
Weight-8lb 11oz
Height- 55cm
HC- 35cm

Recovery was fine, I was in alot more pain than I was with DS1 but 4 hours after he was born I got a shower, washed, blowdried and straightened my hair and put my makeup on, I instantly felt a bit better.
OH left me up in the ward at 10am and went to get DS1, they came in at 3pm and it was amazing to have my family together for the first time.
I got home on the 8th at 3pm (wanted to keep an eye on him due to meconium staining)

Home life has been great, I can't belive how well we have all adapted and my little man is a champ, he sleeps 6hours from 12am-6am and feeds every 3hrs during the day and at a week old he went up to 9lb 3oz.

Here are some pics and thanks for reading :hugs:
