stay awake more during the day?

I only ask as people keep telling me she sleeps too much during the day and that this will stop her 'learning' to sleep through the night? I thought the night time sleeping had more to do with when baby stops needing a feed at night time?

Amelia does sleep a fair bit during the day - dozes of after most feeds - sometimes for an hour or so, occasionaly right through to next feed! She does also have wakeful periods where she is alert and content, but def sleeps more than she is awake during the day.

Amelia is now 4 weeks old - does this sound 'normal' to you ladies?

sounds normal to me hun i still have days were all tyler does is sleep through the day!! xx

With my first two, 3 weeks of sleepiness and then they were awake a whole bunch more.

However, with Chase, he was a sleepy baby and actually did sleep quite a bit during the day for the first few months. Now, not so much. LOL
