what age do babies eyes change colour?

My LO is 6 wks on tuesday and im just wondering when eyes go to the colour they will be as her eyes are at the moment a really deep blue/grey.

Is it different for each baby or is there an age when they suddenly change?

Also when do they start focusing?

I asked this too and everyone says different! Rosalies started to lighten up around 3 months and have gotten lighter and lighter at 7 months there a greeny colour not the dark blue when she was born. I have a photo of me as an 8 week old and my eyes had already changed to brown x

I'm not sure. Belle's might be changing but it depends on which angle and light you are looking at. I hope she gets my eye colour, I have amber eyes!

I think they can change up until they are a year old? I'm not certain though.

Bella's started off blue and now they are greenish/brown.

My sons were dark blue at birth - they're a lighter blue now.
My nephew had blue eyes at birth but they went hazel by 2 months old xx

they can change up until 1 year old,or so i was told But then i was also told that all babies were born with blue eyes...but Connah was born with chocolate brown eyes and still has them now xx

it can be longer than a year some children take a few years before their eye colour changes! its different with everyone, eye colour pigment is one of the only things that isnt formed before the baby is born, also tear ducts etc, the light activates the pigment and it varies for different people

April's eyes are still blue (nearly 7 months) and haven't really changed at all since birth. We were (and kind of still are) expecting them to change as both mine and OH's eyes are hazel/brown and blue is very unusual in our families. She suits blue eyes now though, so I hope they stay.

Evie's eyes were a slate grey when she was born and now they're a gorgeous dark brown, just like her dad

it can take more than a year. Alexander's eyes still haven't changed colour at 2yrs old! He still has the blue eyes he was born with, yet me and hubby and both hazel coloured. My father has blue eyes but they are a very light blue, and Alexanders are the deep baby blue..........so its different for everyone. most within the first 6months though
