What are you going to do about the hair down there?

I use an epilator so I guess I will try and continue using that, maybe in front of a mirror?? Hate the thought of not being tidy but know loads of people say when you're in labour you won't give a fig about it :)

... but there's something about public hair that freaks me out lol

:haha: I'm sorry, but this typo cracked me up so hard!!!!

Anyway, yeah. I blind-shave also. I worry less about my pubes at this point, then I do my toenails. When I got really big with my last child, I couldn't even bend to trim my toes. And DH would NOT help! :growlmad::dohh:

Oh my goodness OH better clip my toenails when I can't! I am weird about having them short all the time lol. I think he will... I will make him :D

I don't know if I'd trust OH with a razor.. The only cuts I want is if it's needed to get baby out of there..lol

I have been getting brazilian waxes for almost 2 years every 6 weeks. My last wax was early in my pregnancy and I became really busy so I missed my wax appointment a couple of times. I decided to just shave for a lil while and oh my that was a huge mistake for me lol I was itching so bad and I couldn't get all the hair. It was just annoying. I realized then why I get waxed. Wax appt coming up Saturday!

Either OH will help or blind shaving. Might give a few creams ago this time though, less time consuming hopefully.

Eek I dont like ANY hair down there for me, this wasnt something i thought about until now though! I have no other half to help so its going to have to be blind-shaving!

I'm not sure this time around. Last time I let it go, and while I could care less during labor, it made it had to keep things clean after the birth. I'm going to try to keep it short this time, only for the aftermath.

I haven't been able to see my lady parts for over a month now, and I'm sooooo glad our master bathroom is finally finished... I can now shave my legs in the tub rather than the risky contorting I was trying to pull off in the spare bathroom shower! As for the downstairs area, I'm a big fan of professional waxing. I've been getting Brazilians every 6 weeks for several years now, and its worth it. I'm cursed with insanely thick, coarse hair that results in shave rashes and even gets irritated from waxing, but the latter is far superior when it comes to overall convenience and aesthetics. Its worth the $! If I could afford it, I'd get my legs waxed too (less maintenance,) but sadly that's just too much to spend on a regular basis

I am so freaked out by all aspects of Brazilian waxing lol. The pain, having a random person down there (with my pubic hair on top if it), spending money on it lol but it does sound convenient and nice.

With my first one I learned to just use a mirror. It's awkward to do so, but it works!

I'm just going to use scissors to trim the worst of it. I get so itchy and irritated if I shave so I quit and I'm too chicken (and modest ) to get waxed. But I also don't have really unruly lady hair and my swim suit bottoms are boy shorts so they cover pretty good. My legs will get shaved as high as I can get while sitting down (usually just above the knee) and that's that.

And just wanted to add that it says right on the bottles not to use depilatory creams (like Nair) if you are pregnant. I was also told by my doctor not to use them. I think it's because they haven't been tested on pregnant women so the FDA can't say for certain that it's 'safe'.

You can always have hubby do it ;D just a thought. lol
But I blind shaved. Haha

I didnt realise using creams wasnt good in pregnancy? Is that true? Ive been using creams, so much easier, my bump is huge and find this the best way but if its not good i wont be doing that again! Then things will just have to wait lol !

I was just telling my DH last night that it's almost time for me to say "farewell" to my lady garden. I won't be able to see her without a mirror pretty soon.

And I'll be continuing my waxes. Didn't hurt much more than pre-preggo so I'll just keep it up. :)

LOL The first time I did it (3 years ago) I was petrified!!!!!!

But she didn't have me get in ANY funky positions, spread my legs, get on all fours, etc. I just laid there. And at the very end, she had me bring one knee up to my chest so she could do the er....um....bum area. :)rofl:) Then she asked me to put that leg down, bring the other knee to my chest and did that side. THAT was the only weird part. But now that I've been going to her for years, it doesn't phase me. The entire process takes about 15 mins. and for me, costs $35. And I go every 6-8 weeks. :)

You girls are too funny! I'd just shave my whole leg, and use a trimmer to keep the hair tamed. No fuss for me!
