She's so awkward to buy for!!!

Cant be perfume or jewellry - she doesnt do getting her nails or hair done, doesnt drink, dpesnt like smelly stuffs... i'm at a loss and i do not want to buy her a bloody voucher!

Oh and the family have a set rule of £20-£30!

help plssssssssss!

I'm in the same situation! £20 to spend and no idea what to buy - she doesn't like pampering, vouchers, clothes or ornaments.

Interested to hear your responses!

Hmmmm - what about a nice photo frame for her first pic of your baby? Does she like any music you could buy? Is she a foody - you could get a hamper of foody goodies, flavoured oils, wines, cheeses etc maybe?

Your mum sounds exactly like mine!

So far I have bought her the Jo Brand book x

oh my gosh just like my mum! 20 limit too! but mum has stomach cancer so cant eat much, and she has quite abit of money so anything she needs she buys! im really struggling

books, clothes, socks, food hamper, slippers, DVD, CD, chocolates, watch, ornaments, the arrival of your LO lol, a framed photo of you and her

Just a few ideas hope maybe one can help! xxx

Nothings jumping out, :( ... i need something.... completely different i think...

I would send her something Grandson related, but he aint comin til after xmas so will prolly use that one for birthday!

Shes on a permanent diet so foods never good, must have a billion pairs of slippers as thats what my brothers always buy - she is so untechnical its scary... gah!

maybe i should just ask her if theres anything she wants lol

How about a new purse or a scarf and gloves set, a nice bottle of wine/spirits, a cardi/jumper/jacket, a nice Jigsaw, handbag and brolly set, ladies car care set, dressing gown, a funky suitcase for holidays, earrings..... I can't think any more lol

I usually just ask my mum what she wants - although I usually get the response "I don't know" (but I say the same back to her so can't complain).

Is there a book/cd/dvd she would like?

It was my mum's birthday a few weeks ago and I got her a dressing gown (cos I know it's something she'd never go buy for herself, she'd just make do) a scented candle and a "modern granny guide" book from the baby - luckily she saw the funny side :haha:
