what do you give as a reward?

When we start reward charts, we will use stickers to build up, then at the set amount I am going to have a treat box with cheaply crayons, small bags of sweeties, bubbles etc from the pound shop.
He won't be able to see into the jar so won't know what to pick.

We have a star chart where he can trade in stars for things a bit like a shop. 1 star = 5 minutes pc time, 3 haribo (if its the weekend) 10p and other stuff... He normally trades for pc time though. x

£1 shop on a sat / penny mixes thro wks  he LOVES the £ shop must spend 1/2hr in there , or new books/dvds x

These are great ideas. Thanks. I think I will start with a Blind treat jar and see where we go from there.

I can't wait till LO is old enough for a rewards chart. They work really well in my classroom with kids of any age up to 12.

For young kids I like to give special pencils, stickers, etc in a jar. But I mostly try to give them priviliges like free time, "choose your seat for the day," and other things. At home priviliges will be going to the movies, extra playground time, favorite meal, etc.
