I don't like the name Dexter honestly. It reminds me of nerds and geeks or someone who would be made fun of. It's still your choice though hun. It's just not my taste, that's all.

Our dog is called Dex but we have said if he wasnt we would use it as a boys name

My cousin named her son Dexter, he is the most adorable kid i know Dexter and Gavin are her sons names I like it, dont go against something because a show used it as a main character name. Almost any name can be put into a category which someone will always not like.
