What do you think about Girl-pink, boy-blue ?

I dislike the pink for girls and blue for boys. To be honest, I love the colour blue (as does hubby) so with both our kids, they'll have blue things but most of the outfits, etc are in gender neutral colours.
Even though our little one is a girl (found out today), no pink stuff please.

Most of my baby girl's first clothes were blue, because they were handed down from a colleague whose son had just grown out of them. The rest were pink and frilly, because they were bought as presents by people who assumed that this was appropriate. I can't abide pink frilly stuff just because you're a girl, and was gratified when it turned out that LO doesn't look good in pink frills anyway: blues and browns and purples suit her a lot better. Yes, everyone assumes she's a boy, even when the blue garment she's wearing is a flounced dress embroidered with flowers (WOT?), but she's only eighteen months old and calls everyone a 'boy' anyway because she hasn't learned the word 'girl' yet, so who cares?
