The name 'Darylle' for a girl?

Pronounced just like Darrel/Daryl the boys name, but more feminine spelling? Would she just get mistaken for a boy? lol

Honest opinions would be lovely :flower:

I teach a little girl named Daryl, and she is beautiful! Also, I was a fan of Enid Blyton's Malory Towers growing up, and the main character in that was a girl named Darrell. I think she might get mistaken for a boy initially, but in my opinion, it is still a pretty name!

It sure is different lol personally I wouldn't use it, I was going to say nothing but then saw you wanted honest opinions so I guess you want opinions from both sides. xx

I immediately thought of Darrell from Enid Blyton's Mallory Towers, too! Showing my age maybe!! I quite like it. I also like Mallory, which sounds similar, but I don't like the meaning of that one.

i personally wouldnt use it.. but i think its a great choice :D
xx

I once met a baby girl called Daryl and thought it was a cute name for a girl.

I'm not keen, I've always thought of Darrel for a boy as one of those chavvy names like Kevin and Gary and Darren. No offence to anybody of those names.

One of my friends has a girl named Daryl. I think it's quite lovely. :)

Personally i'm not a fan... i prefer very feminine names for girls.... but i do think your spelling makes it look more girly.

There is a female celebrity named Daryl Hannah

I've got a distant girl cousin called Daryl. She's never had any problems. And there's Daryl Hannah too.

I quite like it, although may not have used it myself.
