Got to be honest and say that it sounds a bit masculine to me. Could just be because I know a lot of male Shauns, and no females. Doesn't mean your little girl couldn't be the first!

im not sure if im saying it right, but the shaun sounding at the beginning makes it sound more like a boys name. but at same time it has a nice ring too it. x

I really quite like it! You could use a more feminine nickname of Shauna or Shauni.. I have a cousin named Shauna so i'm used to the idea of Shaun as a feminine.
