What does this mean?

I just got back from my doctors visit and I am 3 centimeters dilated and 70% effaced. What does that mean in terms of having the baby???? Just wondering. I am almost 38 weeks. Thank you!

ohhh and mucus plug is gone.

3 cms is REALLY good. 4 cms is considered active labor, so you must be pretty close. I went to the hospital with broken waters at 2 cms and got to 10 in 18 hours because of the pressure. If you wanna help it along, lots of walking and standing will help things along. Just make sure you get plenty of rest as well.

Thank you so much!!! I hoping by this weekend. I'm in the process of making sure the house is clean and then will go for a walk. I don't want to go into labor with a dirty house. My Oh thinks I am crazy for that. lol
