What does this mean?

Hi ladies, this is my first ever OPK so I need some advice! I came off the pill 2 weeks ago to allow my body to get back to normal before we TTC in 6 weeks.....I didnt think I would ovulate for ages but I took this OPK this morning and i'm not sure if it's positive or not? Should I be avoiding sex for a few days!? I dont want to fall pregnant before our TTC date

Ovulation tests are only regarded as positive if the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. This would be a negative test. Does not mean to say that one later on today or tomorrow wouldn't be postitive so if you aren't wanting any bambinos just yet, I would be careful with the BDing!

OPKs detect a surge in LH which most woman will have in their system every day anyway. You should do at least 2 a day because as I said, it picks up a surge. You could have missed it with this test but may have already had it.
