Hi everyone,
What does your 17 month eat?
I'm struggling at meal times he is more of a snacker having bits throughout the day,
He just doesn't seem interested to sit and eat
Can you give me your typical days foods so I can get some ideas
Thanks x

He's 19 mths now but not much has changed.
For breakfast he has weetabix or porridgewith fruit and a banana. Mid morning breadsticks and blueberries or grapes. Lunch can be toast with cream cheese, beans potato and cheese or beans on toast. Sometimes he has a teacake if we're out. Then he'll have natural yog with fruit. Mid afternoon more fruit then dinner will be a roast chicken dinner or beef or a shepherds pie or sth similar ... Whatever is in freezer. Then he'll have yoghurt again

Pretty much whatever I eat!

Breakfast is usually on of these:
Cheerios
Rise crispies
Shredded wheats
Weatabix
Porridge
Toast
Crumpets

With beaker of whole cows milk or occasionally some watered down orange juice.

Lunch:
Sandwich (cream cheese/ham/tuna/chicken/humous)
Baked potato
Pasta
Usually followed by some fruit or a yogurt/rice pudding

Dinner:
Whatever iam cooking for DH and I
Curry and rice (dollop of Greek yogurt on LO's)
Chilli (just add a small amount of spice when cooking and DH and I put more on once I've served LO)
Spag Bol
Risotto
Meat balls and spaghetti
Carbonara
Fish with veg and some time of potato
Paella
Roast dinner

If DH and I are having pudding then she'll have a small portion of the same but not every night. Usually one snack a day either morning or afternoon she lets me know when she's hungry. Water and weak squash to drink through the day and a beaker of milk at bedtime (but she's not a massive milk drinker).

My LO eats much better if we sit together at the table, if we try and give her a meal on her own she just messes about as though it's a game. So even if DH and I are eating after her bedtime (usually if we have takeaway) I will still sit at the table with her when she has her meal and have a drink and a snack
