Thought it be more suitable here

my midwife never actually gave me a list of what foods i can and cant eat

i no its different everywhere but im in the uk. just been eating what i want really

From the Mayo Clinic:

--seafood high in mercury (Swordfish, Shark, King mackerel, Tilefish)

--raw fish and shellfish

--undercooked meat, poultry, and eggs

--unpasteurized cheeses/foods (brie, feta, blue cheese, etc.--there's a list on the link)

--unwashed fruit and veggies

--I avoided all bagged lettuce and bagged spinach b/c of listeria risks.

--large quantities of vitamin A (liver)

--alcohol, herbal tea

I also didn't eat uncooked lunch meat (no hoagies for me, which was hard)

I didn't drink milkshakes or ice cream from the machine (soft serve) because of the listeria risk.

There's a good sticky thread in pregnancy club

Here is the uk version :) https://www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/917.aspx#close
It is different between the uk and us but generally its avoid anything that has a high chance of listeria, alcohol, high vitamin A and limit your caffiene intake.
