I am weaning my son and I am tired of expressing just to give him milk for his cereal. What kind of formula would be best for use just in food (I dont really want to give him cow's milk until he is much older)? I would prefer something that I can buy in a small tin b/c I dont think I will be able to get through a larger one before it goes off.

I have seen both newborn milk and follow-on milk (for 6 months +) and I am not sure what the difference is.

Why don't you use cartons of ready made? You can get 200ml and 500ml of most brands. Any formula should be fine. I don't think you particularly need to make it up with a follow on milk, first milk is fine.

yeah any milk should be fine hun , my lo was on stage one milk unitl he moved to cowsmilk at 12 months. follow on milk isnt really neccessary :)
whichever brand you like :)
