If I go back to work full time(I work in a nursery) I get 50% off my childcare fees.

I have been speaking to a few people and it turns out I may end with approx the same amount of money at the end of the month as i would if I stayed at home with LO and recieved support.
To be honest if this really is the case, I wont be going back. Id rather spend time with LO than have him/her in the nursery and I dont get to see their development.

If I decide not to go back, what will happen, and how will this affect working tax credits etc?? !

Just be careful about your contract......as you may have to pay back any maternity pay minus SMP.
Not sure how it will affect tax credits, it depends on your partner's earings etc.
check out www.direct.gov.uk it will give you advice on what and how much you can claim
