I read online that if you hypothyroidism and its still not to the point of where it should but close you can have problems ovulating is that true? so far ive taken an OPK test everyday for the past 4-5 days and its 9CD....but my AF started early this month and it was a weird one....so my CD might be off. but so far no Positive OPK...just the faint lines...is it to early? or could my thyroid be the problem....?

last month was our first month TTC. i got myself in such a state about OPK's thinking i didnt ovulate etc. i had the faintest lines to start with and then they dissapeared so I assumed i wasn't ovulating after 14 years on the pill.

on the friday there was nothing, saturday morning a faint line and then i tried saturday afternoon on a whim- i ovulated... gone again by sunday so maybe try testing twice in one day. i think 9CD is too soon though as average is 14. may also be worth temping as its easier to see when ovulation has occurred when you see the temp shift

    good luck xx

CD9 is very early! Most people don't start testing until CD9 lol. How long are your cycles? I have a 30-31 day cycle and I don't ovulate until CD18 (sometimes on CD16) If you have regular cycles, then chances are you are ovulating. I wouldn't worry hun. Lots of sticky baby dust xx

ETA: keep in mind, just because you get a positive opk does not mean you're ovulating. Some women have multiple surges and ovulate, and some have multiple surges and DONT ovulate. The only way to know if you ovulate besides seeing a doctor, is by charting BBT. (basal body temperature)

All the above are right. It's early. How long are your cycles normally?

Cd1 is always the first day of red flow not spotting.

    Good luck.

My BFF has hypothyroidism and never takes her meds. She has 2 beautiful children and got preggers the only 2 times her and her DH didn't use protection. (/sigh right) On another note, I know your thyroid functions just about every part of your body, so it could very well be your thyroid. But it is still pretty early in your cycle, keep testing and lots of baby dust to you!

my mum had thyroid problems and had trouble conceiving me. but im here lol. her hormones were all over the place. if I was you I would go on amazon buy loads of opks and do them twice a day, like at lunch and 7pm. it is natural to ovulate at different times of the month but the time from ovulation to af should be the same. if your not sure when you might ovulate. opks are so cheap on amazon doing it twice a day is not expensive
