Hello gang! Need some words of comfort and or advice

BF and I attended our 12 week scan full of excitement of seeing our bubs for the first time only to be told that the pregnancy has stopped developing sometime before (I never actually found out how far I was, shame on me). This was on 17th November, was sent home with an appointment for the EPU a week later. Well long story short, I was concerned about excess bleeding and went to A&E on 23rd where eventually I was "swabbed out" by what looked like bbq tongs :haha:

Anyway the woman said I should have a negative after 2-3 weeks and I'm still testing obviously positive, 4 weeks after 12 week scan and 3 weeks after my clear out. This is really getting me down as we just want to get back on the TTC wagon and this is feeling like a lifetime.

My question really is what are your experiences with an MMC and getting a negative test? I have attached the majority of my tests over the last 3 weeks and they aren't getting lighter indicating I'm getting close to negative or darker with the unlikely event I'm pregnant again as we kept DTD as soon as bleeding stopped :shrug: HELP!!

Edit: the tests aren't in any order, but today's is the top one

I would call them back and ask for a scan to make sure everything is clear. Even after my 18 and 15 week losses my tests were negative after 3 weeks.
Sorry for your loss x

I made an appointment for tomorrow with my gp, unfortunately for me the EPU is the next town over and I don't drive so tricky getting there. Fingers crossed they can shed some light on this situation

your not alone with this I experienced positive hcg test days before my cycle started. my cycle started exactly 28 days after mmc. I was going crazy trying to figure out why were they still positive but my cycle came about 3 days after it was still positive. I was totally shocked but it came, so its ok to still see positive everyone's body is different when it come to hcg.

Sorry for you loss :( You were 12 weeks pregnant, so it will take some time for your levels to go back down. I lost mine at 8 weeks, and my levels were really high (higher than where I should have been). It took mine 9 weeks to go negative, after my first *real* period.

So sorry for your loss and that you're going through this.
I just had a mmc and was one day off being 10 weeks pregnant when the medical management started working (I had to have two doses two days apart as the first didn't work). This was on the 22nd of November, I'm still getting positive tests now but they're gradually getting lighter, with my last two losses they went negative sooner but it seems to be dragging on this time for some reason. EPU told me to contact them if my tests were still positive after 3 weeks which I did, they didn't seem interested really even though they'd told me to call, but I pushed for a scan just for my own peace of mind to know for sure that everything had gone, as I was still spotting slightly too at that point. The scan was a couple of days ago and showed nothing left behind, so EPU said they didn't know why I still had spotting/pains/positive tests, but to call them again in another week if they were still positive. I won't bother calling them again as there's nothing else they can do now I've had a scan showing all clear, and they'll just keep telling me to wait another week before testing again. With my loss before this one my tests took over two weeks to go negative, and I ovulated and conceived again not long after that, so it doesn't take long from the light tests for your cycle to get back to normal. Hope things sort out for you soon x
