Is there any silly advice u had for TTC??

I HAD TWO, and the first is the most stupid thing:

1- Eat shrimp and let him eat caju (That woman was out of her mind)
2- Forget about it and it will happen! RELAX!

:hissy::hissy:

Lol!!!

Ok, I've had

1. Have the DH wear shoes when you BD (wtf?!)
2. Keep a pair of yellow booties under your pillow (although I must admit, I've done this for over a year)

get DH to drink pomegranite juice and lay with legs over headboard after BD- must be at 90degree angle!!

Drink Veuve Clicqout "Yellow Label" Champagne....not sure it works but I've enjoyed testing the theory! :drunk:

The stork will bring one along - is that not how babies are made?

...only joking!

To BD at 5pm as apparently this is the most fertile time, especially on a full moon!

And to 'relax' which flies out of mouths of people who fell pregnant within a few months and have no idea what its like to be waiting for so long.

Well to be honest, hubby was always a bit "uneducated" when it came to TTC and he figured that people fall pregnant whenever you have unprotected sex (he NEVER had unprotected sex w/ me until we started TTC...thats 5 years after we got together). After trying to tell him for almost a year that the chances are not 100% but more like 25% we finally started to TTC and after 3 months and no baby yet, i think he's finally convinced.

do't think it's really 'advice' but it still is silly to think you can get prego that easily!

Well of course, if your DH does not have good traction, then.... :dohh: This is the silliest thing I think I have ever heard.

 I know right?
And believe it or not it was an elderly lady with grown kids of her own who told me. She came straight out and asked me "Does your husband where shoes when you try to conceive"
I think I just gave her a baffled "Are you serious" look and she started nodding and replied "No, really....it's true"

I was told if dh wore boots you'd conceive a boy,but my husband wears spurs on his for mounting bulls and horses, I weighed the odds and I think its like I'd get some serious cuts than anything else.

Can't say I've really had any yet...Someone I used to work with (and still keep in touch) says that the fun is in the trying, but I happen to believe that, so I can't call that silly...

Oh goodness, well I guess as long as his shoes are clean, what can it hurt?!?

the relax, it will happen theory worked on me! made me laugh when i heard it tho!

Ney this one is really fun

The silliest thing I was told, was today actually at work. (And this has come from a nurse who has had 4 kids) Dring cough medicine when it id your O time. The kind of cough medicine that thins mucus, because it also thins CM (supposedly). Her sister was told this by a fertility doctor. She did it and went on to have 4 kids herself after 2 m/c. Sounds silly, I dunno?
