There shouldn't be any downtime, as it's just a maintenance release. More info here
Nursery nurse in a toddler room (1 year olds) I enjoy it for the most part (we only have 8 children on the register and 6 in at any one time between 2 staff so you do build up a nice bond with the children and parents) but it's not the easiest job to do while pregnant and i'm sure it's only gonna get harder til I go on maternity leave at 36 weeks I'll be going back 3 days (do 5 currently) after ml but me and the bf are saving up to buy a house together and i'm hoping that once we're settled in I can take steps towards leaving my job and childminding full-time =]
Wow, so many different jobs!
I was working as a housing advisor, but suspiciously lost my contract about 2 weeks after announcing I was pregnant! Strange since my job had been safe for 2 and half years before that, although a little birdie has informed me that apparently around a 3rd of the staff have been finished now so hopefully it wasnt anything personal
Since I didnt have a job to go back to, I decided to try being self employed, and Ive set up my own maternity and nursing wear business. In our area, its really hard to find nice things, particularly if youre breastfeeding. By doing this, I still get to spend every day with my little girl, and can take her everywhere with me...and of course can continue breastfeeding, so win win really
I have to say, I am jealous of some of the job roles on here...particularly the mum who works with chocolate and the novelist...how fab!
PS - you can befriend me on here if you would like to talk to me
I'm a sales assistant at the carphone warehouse. I'm quitting in October though as I start back at uni, the job is too stressful, I don't like the company ethics and I have an interview next week for Waterstones
My job is housing benefit and council tax benefit assessor. Been doing it now for 12 years. I find it incredibly boring and mundane. Housing benefit is abolished next October unless there is delays to the government plans? I am quite looking forward to hopefully having a change in career.
Think I am the only one in my office looking forward to losing my job lol.
I work in the advertising & marketing industry at an Ad Agency - I manage a team responsible for Digital Production, in a studio. It's pretty creative and I love the every day challenges that come my way but the long hours and late nights /early mornings when there's a deadline on are less fun
I worked for 15 years in McDs lol Was a 1st assistant manager for most of that (part time) Left there to go to uni but got pg (accident) so left in middle of 2nd year. That was 18 months ago now and whilst I liked what I was doing (teaching degree) I'm now not convinced it is what I want to do as a career hmmmm I'm currently working voluntarliy as a Breast Feeding Peer supporter attending clinics and bf groups as an advisor. I will shortly be doing a few hours in the maternity unit too. I've been enjoying this so much I've decided to do an access course and hopefully do nursing degree and specialise in Health Visiting.
i'm a chartered accountant too specialising in corporate tax. basically i advise companys how to structure their business and operations efficiently for tax. love it!
