What job do you have?

I work as a bank nurse at the moment, working on medical wards and A&E. I'm also about to start work as a bank midwife, too (looking for a permanent midwife post at the moment).

I also volunteer a couple of evenings a week and some weekends.

Orthopedic staff nurse :D Mainly working with the elderly and fragility fractures (broken hips, wrists etc)

There are days when i love my job and there are days like today where i have wanted to scream and am looking for other jobs.

I used to have fairly decent paying administration type jobs til I became a sahm.
Dh lost work when ds was a baby and I started at waitrose on the meat and fish or deli counters.
Sometimes I like it, sometimes not. Pay is terrible, discount is great!
I did full time for a bit now on a 5 hours weekend contract and do an extra day every week or so.
I do the paperwork and accounts for dh lift engineering business, I did a backdated accounts exercise that saved him 1500 in tax and his dad 600 in tax in one afternoon the other week so I consider that my main contribution to the household.
Also keeps my brain ticking over, I am good at finances so thinking of that for future jobs.
Xx

I'm an accountant specialising in alternative investment managers (hedge funds and private equity managers in every day talk). I also do a lot of philanthropic charities as well. Sounds sad but I love it

I'm a teachers assistant in school for disabled children.
I love my job very much
Currently studying to become social worker

I'm a staff nurse, work in acute medicine for the elderly ward. It's hard work, but I love it (most of the time:haha:)

I'm about to do a degree in Anthropology and hoping to go on to do a Masters in Globalization or a related field to Conservation/Development. Not totally sure what I want to do with it, probably attempt to either work in a museum, go into documentary film-making (the dream!) or work for an international aid programme. Early days still though and those are admittedly quite ambitious aims :haha: would love to do a doctorate a bit later in life and become a fully qualified Anthropologist too.

SAHM. Have been for 5 years and love it! By far the hardest job ever, but so rewarding. I was working in a Styrofoam factory before this.

I'm an assistant manager for a restaurant.
It's very busy with few breaks but I love it more days than not.

Agree! When I was working as a nurse full time, some days I would love it, other days I would hate it. I just didn't want to be the first nurse to admit it on here!

Orthopaedics is so heavy, too. I did it for a while after qualifying. Went to a medical ward and was amazed that patients could walk themselves to the bathroom!

Started work as an English tutor last month. Love it so far but it's much less like History Boys than I imagined!

I'm a health care assistant, for a private company who look after clients in their own homes, most days I love it but it can be tiring

I'm in the Air Force Reserve, but my civilian job is a 911 dispatcher. I love the Air Force, but I have a love/hate thing for 911. It wasn't as bad when I was getting paid much much more in another state to do it, but here in Texas we don't get paid jack shit for this. I see and hear far too many awful things, things that some people can't even imagine, things that keep me awake at night to get paid so little. It's sad, and I have to spend so much time away from my family to help the community with theirs, and I'm still just getting by financially. Public safety is too underrated if you ask me.

I used to do admin work for the NHS in Clinical Oncology and then briefly moved over to Orthopaedics before having Jacob.
Been a SAHM for 4 years now.

I'm a fully qualified Nursery Nurse/Childcare worker, although right now I'm a London bus driver :dohh:

Currently work on a make-up counter. Moving jobs soon but doing a very similar kind of thing.
