What regular OB appointment schedule should I expect

So I just made my first OB appointment. Very exciting. It's for Monday and I'll be nine weeks at that point (lol... I wrote nine months at first! not quite!).

I have a relatively good idea (I think) of what to expect. Exam, history, likely no scan, etc.

What I'm wondering is after the first OB appointment, how often do they usually see you? Of those appointments how often do they do an ultrasound?

I'm currently with a fertility specialist office and I am in there every week, and get a scan every two weeks. I know it's going to be culture shock! But I realized I actually have NO clue what a normal OB schedule is.

So for those of you who know or have done this before, what is a normal OB appointment schedule?

I'm a few weeks ahead of you and I'm sure they do it differently depending on the hospital but my schedule is a prenatal visit once a month up until the third trimester, then twice a month.. maybe more because I am higher risk. My ultrasounds were Intake ultrasound at 9 weeks, NT ultrasound at 12 weeks, gender and anatomy scan at 19 weeks, and then one close to the end I think where they see how the baby is positioned and if all still looks good.

In the US, they normally see you about once a month until you're in your third tri, which then goes up to twice a month. And starting in the ninth month they see you every week until you give birth. For high-risk pregnancies they'll see you more, but this is the norm for a regular pregnancy.

It sounds like most westernised countries have the same schedule, its the same here in New Zealand
