what the hell!

that's a very poor decision on their behalf. they can't just expect to live off government funding...that's very unfair on the LO...i think it's quite an immature and very poorly thought out decision x

lol how much do they think their gonna get like... 1. they will not be entitled to most benefits as the father is capable of work... some people really are just plain thick

she really needs her head shakeing!! fair enough when ur on benifits u get council tax, housin benfit paid for you (if in a council house) but getting paid £56 per person a week is NOT enough to live on with a child. ok yeah u get child benifits and child tax credits but that certinaly isnt enough.

i know this because when me and my OH was on income support, which had to be switched to JSA as from when my LO turned 12 weeks old......luckly for us, we got help and my OH managed to get set up self employed and i can say im glad he has. at least i have a little extra to put away each week for when my LO gets older and towards xmas.

That's completely crazy!!! I mean it's understandable that neither of them want to miss out, but they're going to drive each other crazy if nothing else!! If she works at the moment, then she might get up to a years maternity leave, and he can arrange some paternity leave. I definately think they'll regret it if they both give up work..
