Hi All,
This may be an overdone topic but I'm new here and haven't seen anything on this yet. So my question is, what things (food etc) should you avoid while TTC or what is thought to help things along in anyway. For instance I have heard that you shouldn't take ibuprofen while TTC but acetominaphin for a headache is fine. If any has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Here's a site to get you started, hope it helps:

Lots of :dust: to you!

Edit: here's another one that might also help: https://www.babycenter.com/0_twenty-things-you-should-do-before-you-try-to-get-pregnant_7171.bc :)

I stopped using some skincare products that had oxybenzone in it as I was having trouble concieving and that chemical is known to cause developmental/reproductive issues. I'm not a total purist when it comes to health and beauty products, but it caught my attention because its in almost every sunscreen and is absorbed into the skin. Was in my face wash and my face lotion too.

I did hear that excesseive use of antibacterial soaps has somethign in it that interferes with fertility (can't remember the chemical name but I think it started with a t? sorry can't remember!).

I only started looking at those chemicals when I was having trouble though.

For general health and safety and basic fertility helping, cutting back on drinking is recommended as well as stopping smoking if you do (obvious, I know, lol).
Certain painkillers can cause ovulation issues... tylenol and aspirin is ok though.

Lots of foods/herbals that are recommended to help, but you do have to be a little careful with them and know what is safe to mix.. and certain ones are best for specific problems.

Definitely start taking a pregnatal or folic acid vitamin now, eat health and all that jazz.

Grapefruit juice is rumored to help with CM production during your follicular phase.
