What to do about the hospital I have the baby at......

So here's the dilema...I basically had 2 choices of hospital, one that is 10 minutes from my house that has a really bad reputation for "accidental death" etc.....and one just over an hour away.......which has my mother in law and my 2 sister in laws working at.....the problem with this is that I chose to have it at the one farther away but I didnt want to go there since I dont talk to either of my sister in laws (long story) and my mother in law is really pushy and will just come in the room even if we ask her not to...and is already talking about how she hopes shes already working when we go in.....anyway so the we have been considering just driving to a totally different hospital once baby is coming and just going into the maternity ward....I mean not like they will turn me away right? But then I dont get my dr there either......am I being stupid thinking it might be better to just go into labor and go somewhere no one can bother us? The distance would be about the same either way

hmm a tricky one! i would recommend visiting the one with bad rep and go with your gut feling, if you feel uneasy during the birth it'll affect your labour. as for the family dilema i'm pretty sure that you can refuse other people coming into your room if you tell MW you just want her and your OH she should respect that hun, although this is sometimes easier said than done eso when LO is born and you're on the ward. i persoanally can;t see anything wrong with going to a completly different hospital if that's what you and OH are comfortable with but i would visit each place you consider and do a test drive at different times of the day too to work out the best route! x
