What to expect?

Hi all, so tomorrow I start my first ever round of Clomid, 50mg day 3 - 7

Don't really know what to expect with it. What symptoms have you ladies experienced? How bad? I have PCOS so really hoping this does the trick!

Hi beegray! I woke up this morning thinking about posting the same thing! I'm not starting tomorrow but will be on Sunday. I am anxious to hear what everyone says.

i start my first round of clomid 50mg around the 1st or 2nd of August. im nervous because of all the reviews i've read. i just hope this is all it takes. i hope that we all get a really soon

I think responses to Clomid vary a lot. If you temp you'll want to know that it's really common for Clomid to cause an early increase in temperature, then it will go back down to normal before an ovulation spike (if ovulation occurs). Some ladies have said Clomid causes false positive OPKs if taken while taking Clomid or shortly after.

My experience with it is that I get incredibly weepy and can sometimes even realize that it's crazy to be crying about whatever I'm crying about but still sobbing anyway. I also had hot flushes, they could get really unpleasant at night and wake up in a sweat.

The good news is if Clomid works for you it can be amazing! Once the dose is right it can be very effective, especially in treatment of anovulation. Is your doctor going to be monitoring you? If not I'd DEFINITELY temp as it's the only way to tell if you actually ovulated. Hope that helps!

Yay for all the ladies starting soon with me!!!!!!! Hope we all get our bfps!!!!! Thanks HopingandPraying for the advise. We in winter at the moment and it has been freezing so the hot flushes shouldn't in an issue
I'm not being monitored, I haven't gone to a specialist yet, my gyne prescribed the clomid, gave me 3 cycles worth and said to come back if nothing happens... so only really just started my foray into the world of assisted conception. Was dead set against it when I started to TTC but now willing to look at all options.

So far so good actually, no side effects! So hoping it stays that way! Wen u planing on testing? I'm still trying to work that out!
