Ok so now I am happily BF but i can't find anything to wear!! I am ok at home just in high neck tshirts but my boobs are so huge that I have had to invest in some scaffolding BF bras and they are really high cut so they show under all my other tops :hissy: the other problem is that the size of my boobs now means that loads of my stuff is too small now! I have nothing to wear to go out in!

What are you all wearing to go out in while bf? has anyone invested in any special bf tops?

I havent bought any bfing tops but I just tend to wear vest tops with a shirt or a cardy over the top. I sometimes wear high neck tops but still with a vest top under so I can pull the top up and the vest still covers my tummy xx

I have one nursing top but I don't find it particularly discreet. I've been wearing a tshirt or jumper over a vest then I can pull the top up and the vest down. The vests do tend to get a bit stretched though so best to just use cheap ones. If you have a belly band you could always use that to cover your tummy. I don't know what to do about the high bra thing though, sorry.

Seriously GCL, are we the same person? I'm struggling with this, too! Just been on ebay looking for nursing tops. I don't normally wear t-shirts but that's what I've been bidding on as they seem handy. My boobs are quite small really but the bras are still very high. I find if I wear t-shirts and pull them up I can't see her anymore as my boobs are small! (well, 34F but comparatively.

OOh I never thought of checking on ebay, the nursing tops I have seen in JoJo Maman Bebe and in Mothercare are all expensive! I will go and have a look :)

I stay in my nightie at home and when I go out it's vest tops and a cardi... exciting.

I just bought things that are booby friendly, low cut, or v-neck. I also wear a white tank under them to keep the girls covered.

H and M vest tops are the way fowrward! They are stretchy and keep their shape and they are available in loads of colours. As long as the top you are wearing over them can be pulled up or down, you're sorted!

I used to put a belly band under normal tops so I could hoist the t-shirt/top up but my tummy was still covered.

Keep up the good work GCL and when you get a bit nearer to 12 wks get ordering yoursefl some underwire nursing bras!! Envie are a company based in Cleckheaton so even though they are online because they we're nearby I arranged to go and try on!! :D

Congratulations on Myles!! I didn't know you'd had your baby

I did buy a couple of nursing tops (mothercare and mumaway) and found them to be really fiddly and difficult to use. So I wear tightish t-shirts or vests most of the time and just pull them up, helps if they're a bit tight with lycra coz then they stay up and Sofia covers my tummy from view :) I buy cheap tops from h&m and new look.

I either wear a vest top or my bump band underneath other tops so I can pull them up and keep the belly hidden

I have found the best thing that works for me is wearing a vest under my top (preferably the same colour as top to be more discreet) then when i need to feed i slip the vest strap off my arm, pull that down on the side i'm feeding on and pull top up. This means belly is covered, top of breast is covered and i don't feel exposed!

Also, boob tubes under a top are good as same effect without having to take vest strap down as obviously boob tube just tugs down

These type of tops make for ease of use.. however unless you live in a hot climate you may have to top it with a button down cardigan maybe? would be pretty IMO.

note: not much support for larger BBs

ETA: I am not a modest bfer lol

Pretty but definitely not September in Yorkshire!!

ooh and forgot to add... a woman at BFing group said she's found wearing half cardies or a cardy that does up with a single high placed button are good as they cover you and LO...peacocks have a selection of this design in different colours in at the mo for £10 each

Pretty but definitely not September in Yorkshire!!
