Just trying to get an idea of what are great age-appropriate gifts!

When my LO turned 1 we got over enthusiastic and bought a bunch of toys he had no idea how to play with, so I'm just wondering what toys you got or your LO's were given that they loved the most when they were 2 or 3!

Thanks! :flower:

Well my LO (almost 2) has this train set that sings songs and also the ABCs. She loves it and any toddler who comes over plays with it. My LO also knows the ABC song now because of it :)

His brio train set (was Ian's as a child) and Thomas the Tank trains are a firm favourite but he also loves role playing games so like his kitchen, shopping trolley and till, brooms, doll and pram etc. Oh and board games like buckaroo, pop up pirate and hungry hippos etc. xx

His kitchen, he loves it! and his easel, oh and his box of instruments ..... noisy but loads of fun!

I find wooden puzzles and toys to be a firm favourite since they were 1.5 (they are 26 months now). They also love normal puzzles, really getting even more into books now, building blocks which they've loved for ages and still do. They got some magnetic drawing boards for their 2nd birthday and they adore them, always playing with them. Those are their firm faves xx

Duplo-both of mine have loved this. It's the one thing that they both play with the most.

At 2 his favourite thing was definitely his scuttlebug, now it's his wooden kitchen and play food and animals, he loves animals (we have Schleich one's). He has a tent from ikea that he loves too, and he still plays with Happyland loads :)

Probably her play kitchen and play food, her happyland schoolhouse and bus and her train set. Honestly though Ivy loves stuffed animals and baby dolls, when she was younger I didn't want anyone buying her any more because she has a ridiculous amount and I thought they were boring but she loves playing with them. She gives them breakfast, has tea parties, pretends they're at the cinema, waiting at the bus stop....maybe she needs more real friends

Holly is obsessed with her leapfrog 'my own leaptop' laptop. The only other toys she loves are those baby pushchairs and mini trampolines and slides, which we don't have at home.

Should've said his soft toys as well - Charlie loves his! And he has a seriously silly amount - his faves from them are 3 rats and 2 foxes from Ikea, the rats freak me out! he sits them all in a big circle, gives them a picnic then bosses them all around :haha:

Hard to say, its a toss up between her activity cube and the little backpack her skittle set came in.

My son loves his play kitchen, bigger plastic vehicles with sirens, he has a ball pitt he loves, train set, trike.

Daisy is into books, duplo, a remote control Thomas the tank Engine, little tikes cars and garage and her wooden train set at the moment. She also loves playdough. She hates dolls and soft toys.

Tons of things have come and gone since he turned 2 (he's 3 now), but his Plasmacar has gotten use every single day. It's easily the most used toy out of everything we have - surprising since we have train set, kitchen, trampoline, etc. But the plasmacar wins!

At 2 years Ihsan's faves were his play house, till, play kitchen & toy figures (mixture of happyland & fisher price people).

Now at 3 his fave toys are his bike, shopping trolley & play food, castle with knights & dressing up in his knights costume.

Just looked up the Plasmacar and I want one! I might even let Maria have a go on it...

They are interesting - you can propel them by just turning the wheel side to side. Though my son will push with his feet too. They are pretty fun - I even ride around on it every once and a while LOL.

It looks like fun, really interesting how it works.

Football, big blow up dinosaur, Happyland spaceship and any books related to subjects he loves (dinosaurs, pirates, mickey mouse, trains, lions)

I would highly recommend Happyland toys from ELC, perfect for this age group

My 2 year old son loves to play with his motorbike, bicycle, plush car toys (he loves cars), he also like truck and rocking horse. I also included here a gift guide lens for two year old baby boys to give you additional information on what are the age appropriate toys for 2 year olds. https://www.squidoo.com/gift-guide-for-two-year-old-baby-boys
