I just can't wait, i always get so jealous seeing mummies at the airport and on the plane with their babies, even if the baby is screaming i still wish it was me with the baby

Obviously this is an optimistic thread, so i'm not putting the hard things i.e. sleepless nights, teething etc.
What do you guys look forward too? Just feel like gushing voer all things to look forward to baby wise :happydance:

Ohhh this will be a fun thread!

-Surprising hubby with a positive test (he's so excited to have another); I'm going to do a gamer themed announcement just for him :haha:
-Announcing to everyone!
-The first scan
-Feeling a baby move around inside me again
-Getting to wear pretty maternity clothes again!
-Getting to see how DD interacts with her new sibling; she's such a social butterfly at the playground, so I think she'll be okay with a permanent playmate. :haha:
-Holding them in my arms the first time, and knowing they are mine
-Seeing hubby hold his child in his arms with that look of wonder
-Bottle feeding again; I had such a beautiful and positive experience doing it with DD and I can't wait to do it again
-Getting my body back in shape
-Having hubby home for at least two weeks (unless I give birth while he's on assignment, ugh)
-Getting to move to a bigger house!
-Babywearing a tiny baby on my chest again
-Buying even more baby clothes... because I don't already do that enough with DD :haha:
-Decorating the baby's section of our bedroom (we're doing Star Wars this time, I'm so excited!)
-Maybe doing a gender reveal party
-Getting to introduce baby to the family

After Pregnancy
- carrying my tiny baby in my arms
- seeing my boyfriend carry our baby
- watching baby sleep (is there anything cuter than sleeping babies?! haha)
- breastfeeding (at least I hope I'll be able to)

-announcing...it is so much fun!
- the first HB
-feeling baby move. Sometimes I'll have gas bubbles (tmi lol) that remind me of DS wiggling and can't WAIT to feel again!
-getting to park in "reserved for mom to be" spots again :haha:
-gender reveal party this time around
-labor and delivery! It was a great experience last time and I truly cannot wait to go through it again!
-DS getting to meet the new baby and see how he does with them
-sweet milky breath and milk comas

-non smelly EBF poop (strange I know...but when it changes to smelly you will miss the days of "easy" diaper changes lol)
-the new baby smell...nothing better
-the NB cry...even though they do it a lot, I can't wait to hear it again from my own LO!
-see my DH bond earlier this time with baby (they didn't bond for awhile...next time he wants to be more active with baby earlier on)

There's so many things I'm looking forward to with our first!

* the baby dance ;) it's going to have a whole different level of love to it, I think!
* that BFP - I'm still trying to think of how to tell my fiancé when I happens!
* our expecting announcement - if we conceive on the first try I'll be doing a Halloween-themed one, and if it's on the second try it will be a Christmas one (I'm crossing my fingers it won't take many tries)
* finally getting to shop for baby clothes and goods, and getting some cute maternity things
* the BUMP! Watching it grow, feeling the movements...I'll finally stop posing in front of every reflective surface and pushing out a fake bump (I've been practicing, lol)
* taking some baby prep classes together
* doing up the nursery in our new house
* the birth - I'm so curious as to how my body will handle it!
* bringing baby home
* taking some extra time off to spend with the baby for that precious first year

Approximately 60 days!!!

OOOh I love this thread and reading through everyone's responses!

-seeing those 2 pink lines
-sharing good news with my husband
-hearing that galloping heartbeat
-everything bump related
-feeling baby move
-my last delivery was amazing and I hope for a repeat experience
-finding out babies gender at delivery
-introducing LO to his/her/their siblings
-new baby smell and cry
-going through milestones with another little life and discovering the world through their eyes

All the pp's said the same thing I'll be looking forward to when I have children.

For what I'm looking forward to as an aunt is holding my niece for the first time. <3 Hearing her call me aunt Tara. :cloud9: Spending time with her while babysitting, taking her for walks in the stroller and so much more!!! :happydance:

-going through milestones with another little life and discovering the world through their eyes

I feel so much younger since having a child - it definitely reminds you have incredible and magical life is!

Oh gosh! Lets see...

- A positive pregnancy test
- Making it through the first trimester
- Starting to show
- The baby moving
- The ultrasounds
- Finding out the sex
- OH being so excited and protective of me
- Getting ready for the baby

- Holding and looking at the baby right after birth
- Bringing the baby home
- First holidays
- Seeing the world through a child's eyes
- Being "allowed" to say that my true life passion is being a mom

The things I look forward to the most with baby #2 are:

- Telling everyone in a sweet and clever way that we're pregnant.

- Seeing how much faster my bump grows compared to my pregnancy with DS.

- Seeing how much faster I start to feel baby move compared to DS.

- The gender scan (we're swaying :pink: so obviously I'm excited to see if our sway worked or not!)

- Announcing the gender in a cute and clever way.

- Going maternity clothes shopping.

- Going baby clothes shopping.

- The possibility of actually making it to my due date. I went with DS at exactly 38 weeks.

- Seeing DS with baby #2, I think he's going to be such a great big brother <3

- Having a tiny bundle to nurse and snuggle again. DS was ready to wean at 15 months and I really miss breastfeeding.

I cant wait to find out if I'm having a girl or a boy!

I'm always wanted a little girl and I have 3 younger nieces, where as my other half has 1 nephew and really wants a little boy so either way one of us will be a little disappointed.

1) Gender scan
2) Telling my family and friends
3) Felling the little one kick
4) Decorating the nursery
5) Buying clothes

I guess I also cant wait to see the look on his face when I tell him were having a baby. I know he will be so happy he talks about it more than me! :happydance:

There are a few things I want to experience with baby #2 that I didn't (fully) experience with my first daughter:

- Actually getting to take a pee stick pregnancy test and getting a positive (with our first we found out through bloodwork)
-Surprising husband in an interesting way with the news
- Gender reveal party (will be swaying for another girl)
- Seeing my daughter's face while she watches the ultrasound
- having my hands on my baby as she is being born (it was incredible!) and holding her on my chest as she takes her first breath
- Being able to breastfeed - I wanted to soooo badly with DD but it wasn't in the cards
- Introducing baby to my daughter and my parents
***Cuddling in bed at home with husband, daughter and baby!****:cloud9:

This is a great thread!

- positive test
- telling family after 12 week scan and excited about first scan
- feeling what its like to be pregnant
- buying baby stuff, doing nursery
- giving birth
- seeing baby first time and oh holding baby first time
- bringing baby home
- being a mother (waited so long) everything really!!

Getting a positive test and actually being excited about it (my first was a surprise, I was 22, and not wanting a baby at that point in my life... so the positive test was sheer terror and tears :haha:).

Seeing if I have the willpower to go all 40ish weeks without finding out gender...
-if I do, then finding out gender after baby is born
-if not, doing a gender reveal party

Picking out a name. I found it really stressful the first time but now I have more of a feel for my 'style' and lots of great potential names in mind.

Feeling kicks and movements again, that was by far the BEST part about being pregnant.

Going to appointments and ultrasounds. I always really looked forward to them.

Hopefully going into labour on my own this time (I was induced with my LO), and then the early stages of labour... the last few centimetres not so much.

Nursing a newborn again. I nursed my LO until she was 3 and the last six months were not fun for me. I miss nursing a little tiny baby and not a giant, hyperactive toddler!
