so thank you to everyone who answered my thread, thought id let you all know some info the doc gave me. i saw her today and described to her the back and side pain i had for about an hour on friday night, she said i should have gone to the hospital. any pain that doesnt go away within the hour and drinking does not help it- you should go to the hospital. my bad 
turns out those were contractions of some sort and you can get them at 20+ weeks, which a lot of people said wasnt possible
she also said that at my stage i should feel the baby atleast once a day and not to worry. ( a lot of people asked about this) she said only from about 6 weeks time do you start counting movement
lastly she told me something that im really gonna stick to from now on: a lot of time the difference between giving birth prematurely and not is your awareness. obviously there are some people who cannot be helped and unfortunately have to give birth early but a lot of the time there is something they can do - so if youre worried go.. worst case they send you home ( actually thats the best case )
anyway hope this is useful for others. Thank G-D my pain stopped.

glad everything is ok with you and the LO. Thanks for the information will have to keep it in mind if I start experiencing anything out of the ordinary!
